I chose to give each chapter a song that goes with it.
TRACKLIST:
“Sweet Revenge” Jessie James “Big Mouth" I chose this for Sharon. It shows how she will stop at nothing until she gets what she wants.
“Coming Together” Pink “Trouble” Another one for Sharon, it just fits her so well and since I don't really care for her at all it just reminds me of her.
“If Looks Could Kill” Kelly Clarkson “Miss Independent” This is for Gen, it explains how this independent woman fell in love with this man, Tucker.
“Falling Hard” Colbie Cailat “Fallin’ For You" Another for Gen and kind of for Nikki. It show's how Gen is falling for Tucker and how Nikki is falling back in love with Victor.
“Making Plans” Pink “Blow Me One Last Kiss” This is for Gen, it's for how she's upset with Tucker and she kind of wants to call it quits now if he's just using her.
“Start of Something New” Lifehouse “Hanging By A Moment” This is for Nikki and Victor. It show's how they are falling back in love but their relationship as the song says is, 'hanging by a moment' meaning that they don't know what will happen next.
“Burning Desires” Cascada “Pyromania” This is so perfect for Sharon and the fire scene.
“Values” The Calling “Wherever You Will Go” "This is for Victor when he goes into the burning barn to find Nikki.
“Questions” Jessica Simpson “Angles” This is when Nikki is in the coma and the family is worried for her.
“Waiting” Aerosmith “Don’t Want to Miss A Thing” This is what Victor is thinking while he's watching Nikki in the coma.
“The Jealousy Flame” Pussycat Dolls “Bite The Dust" This show's how Gen is protecting Tucker from Jill.
”Breaking Hearts & Making Promises” Taylor Swift “A Perfectly Good Heart” This is for Gen, it show's how she is upset with Tucker for talking to Jill and why she had to leave him.
“Rude Awakening” Avril Lavigne “My Happy Ending” Another one for Gen, it's talking about when she found Jill in Tucker's place.
“Orders” Jennifer Lopez “What Is Love?”Gen is wondering why she hasn't found the perfect man yet and is missing Tucker.
“Mending the Broken” Hunter Hayes “Wanted” I was listening to this song while I was writing the scene with Nikki and Victor walking around the property and it jjust seems perfect for this part and their relationship in general.
“Clues” Jessie James “Burning Bridges” I picked this song because there is a part in it that says, "Theres always three sides to every story, Theres your, theres mine but we've been ignoring the truth" and I found this important because in this case there are three sides to the story. Sharon's, Jill's and the truth.
“The Truth” Saving Jane “Girl Next Door" This explains how Sharon has felt jealous of Nikki all her life and why she set the fire.
“Explanations” Rihanna “Good Girl Gone Bad" This show's how Sharon was once a good girl but then she changed and it explains why she's done what she has.
“The Verdict” Carrie Underwood “Lessons Learned” This is simple, it's just saying how Sharon and everyone else should take this as a lesson learned.
“Passion, Pleasure & Pain” Mariah Carey “The Impossible” Ah yes, this was a hard choice on which song I should pick. However I chose this one becasue it seemed the best for this moment.
“Moving Forward” One Direction “Little Things” This should be easy to figure out. Since most of the chapter is talking about how Nikki and Victor fell for one another and the things they love about the other the song just fit.
“Intruding” Taylor Swift “Treacherous” This one is for Nikki, the love she shares with Victor is in fact 100% treacherous.
“Questioning” One Direction “They Don’t Know About Us” Another One D song I know. Anyway it's saying how no one has any idea about the love Nikki and Victor share and Adam has no right to judge.
“Different Kinds Of Love” Christina Aguilera-“So Emotional” The song title says it all. All different kinds of love come with all different kinds of emotions.
“Young & in Love” Lady Antebellum “Our Kind Of Love”Just explaining how much Niktot is in love.
“Beauty & HER Beast” Rihanna & Chris Brown “Nobody’s Business” I was thinking about picking the Celine Dion Beauty and the Beast song hense the chapter title. However I decided on this one becasue it is true, Nikki and Victor's relationship is nobody's business but their own.
“Vows in Paris” Kelly Clarkson “A Moment :Like This” Since this is a wedding chapter I ahd to pick a wedding this song and this is one of my favorites.
“The Love of a Family” Carrie Underwood “Whenever You Remember” Considering there aren't many songs out there for a chapter like this I chose this because it's just for the Newman family and the memories they will share.
“I Almost Do” Mario Vazquez “ Gallery” If you've ever heard the song you would agree that it is so Jack and that is why I put it for this chapter.
“Berries and Cream” All-4-One “I Swear” Now, I know Niktor has their own wedding song but I'm really not a fan of it sadly. Anyway I spent a lot of time choosing the perfect song for this chapter and I do think this is the one.
Now I am still looking for a theme song for the book and I'm not sure when I'll find one. If you have any ideas let me know.
