          The silence was like thick fog that had taken over the entire church. No one had said a word ever since Jack stood up. Nikki clung to Victor occasionally peaking at Jack from over Victor’s shoulder. She did her best to stop the tears from falling down her face, “Victor” she whispered. “I’ll handle this sweetheart.” Victor said “Jack what are you doing here?” Nikki asked. Jack took a few steps towards Nikki and Victor, “I’m here for you Nik, I love you don’t you know that?” “Don’t you come any closer Abbott.” Victor warned “I wasn’t talking to you! Nikki, please Nikki just listen to me, I want you to know that I am not okay with this. Do you remember all those times Victor hurt you and you came crying to me for help? Tell me you remember those.” Nikki began to shake as she walked in front of Victor, “I do remember Jack but that is all over now. I’m marrying the man I love, the man I’ve always loved, the man who gave me my children-““But what about our children?” Jack asked his voice cracking. Nikki felt like a knife was being thrust into her heart, “Oh no Jack please don’t do this, not here; Just go and let me live my life!” she cried the tears streaming down her face. “Nik, please how can you go back to him after all he’s done to you?” “Because Jack I love him, what we have is something that no one else will ever have. Our love is stronger now than it has ever been and if you can’t accept that then leave!” “Nikki,” Jack said taking a step towards her; he reached out and grabbed her hand, “Oh!” Nikki gasped. Victor grabbed her other hand and pulled her back behind him, “Get the hell out!” he shouted. His voiced echoed through the room and made the walls vibrate.

          “Okay Jack come on that’s enough I’ll take you home.” Billy said standing up. “No Billy, I need to do this!” Jack yelled “No Jack you don’t, Billy’s right come on we’re going home.” Jill told him. “No!” Jack shouted looking at Nikki, “Please Nik, I’m begging you don’t put yourself through this all over again.” “Jack you better get out of here before things get worse.” Billy said grabbing his brother by the shoulders. Jill stood up and walked over to Jack and Billy. “Come on Jack, we’re leaving.” She said. “No Nikki!” Jack shouted. Nikki buried her face in Victor’s back as she sobbed uncontrollably. Billy and Jill tried to drag Jack out but he was of course being difficult, “Come on Jack you’re being stupid!” Billy yelled “No I love her and I can’t stand to see that bastard hurt her!” Jack shouted looking at Nikki and Victor. Nick and Noah ran over to help Billy and Jill get Jack out. They dragged him out screaming just like Sharon was dragged out of the courtroom a few weeks before. When they were gone and the doors had shut behind them no one dared to move. The only sound in the room was Nikki’s loud and shirking sobs. Victor turned around and she practically fell into his arms. He held on to her with every bit of strength he had. No one was going to take her away; no one was going to ruin their special day, especially not Jack Abbott. “Shh, shhh, baby it’s all over now I’m right here.” He said into her hair. “Victor” she sobbed. Victoria looked at her parents, she turned to Summer and Abby, “How could he be so selfish?” she asked “Well he is my uncle.” Abby said “I know that but I just can’t believe he would do this.” Victoria growled “Yeah if you truly love someone you do what’s best to make them happy not what makes you happy.” Summer said “When will Daddy come back?” Faith asked “Hopefully soon honey.” Abby replied hugging her niece. “What are we supposed to do now?” Summer asked “I don’t know it’s up to Mom and Dad.” Victoria said glancing at Victor and Nikki again. The doors opened and Nick came back in with Noah, “Jill and Billy took him home.” Nick told Victor. “Thank you son” Victor said. He then looked down at Nikki, she was still sobbing, “Everyone could you give us a few minutes?” he asked starting to lead Nikki to the door. “How long will you be?” Victoria asked. Victor turned around, “I’m not sure.” He replied and then walked out with Nikki.
