Chapter 37

"Techno!" I hear a loud voice yell from upstairs.

  Then I hear footsteps pacing back and forth.

  "Techno where the hell are you?"

  I can't make out the voice but I assume they shouldn't be here. I can't go up and see because I'll risk them knowing I'm alive.

  "Shut up I'm coming Dream!" Techno yells.

  Dream why is he here? Is it for the withers or something.

"What do you want?" Techno says.

Dream replies but I can't make out what he said. It's so muffled and I can barley understand Techno.

"Your gonna have to wait, I'll have the withers ready don't worry. You should go and set up your tnt canons." Techno urges.

"Okay okay, be there at 3:00 sharp." Dream says and I hear his footsteps reach the exit.

The door shuts and I climb up to the ground floor.

"Techno what was that about?" I ask.

"Just Dream being impatient. He wants to take my withers with him but I won't allow that." He says.

  "If he drops by randomly again and I'm not down there then that could ruin everything." I say.

  "We have to be really careful. He knows where I live which is a problem. Maybe you should make a house somewhere where you won't be found." Techno suggests.

"I'll do that after the explosion. Which reminds me." I pause to re think my sentence. "Can I please go see L'manburg for a last time? I will stay far from everyone like on a hill or somthing."

"Y/n that's dangerous. You could get seen, no just no you're not allowed." Techno says forcefully.

"Please Techno what if I stay out of sight? I swear I won't let anyone see me and I'll stay far away from everyone." I plead.

  He shakes his head.

  "Wha-what if I bring Karl with me? He's a time traveler if we get seen he can just go back in time and fix it!" I ask with excitement.

He stays silent as of this thought. "Then maybe I suppose."

"Yes! Thank you thank you! When do we leave?"

"We'll leave in a bit, get your weapons just in case. I need to go get my withers and find Karl whilst you do that." He says as he heads out the door.

I smile to myself, he'll let me do whatever I want. It's honestly pretty funny, it's like I've got him wrapped around my finger.
I go downstairs and get my sword and put it my holster on my back. Then I pick up my crossbow and put a lot of arrows in my pouch.

I then wait for Techno to get back with his wither heads. I can't believe L'manburg is going to be wiped out. After all this time, from the beginning where it was just Wilbur, Tommy, Tubbo and I. Now it's just me after all Tommy betrayed me for Tubbo.

As I wait for Techno I hear footsteps from outside. I climb the latter to upstairs to see out of the windows. It's Sapnap, why is he here?! I won't be able to make it under in time. So I stay up here hoping he won't climb the latter.

I hear the door open and then close.

"Techno?" Sap yells.

He gets no response, I mean of course because Techno is gone.

"Yo Techno you here?!" He yells again with no response.

After this I hear him opening chests and rummaging through everything. I could go to the very top of the floors real fast, because there is more chests on the floor I'm on. I quickly and silently climb the latter to the top floor.

Once I make it up here Sap is climbing to the second floor. And he opens those chests as well.
I don't know what he is looking for or why he is doing this. Maybe Dream sent him to find the wither heads. The noises stop and everything goes silent. This creeps me out and all of a sudden I hear him climbing the latter. I panic and get as far away from it as I can.
  He's going to see me and then go back and tell Dream. The whole point of faking my death will be useless. I don't know what to do.

  As I see Sap's hand I hear the door slam open. On the second floor.

  "Uh Sapnap? What are you doing?" Techno's voice asks.

  Sap's hand disappears and I hear him jump down. "You know I was just leaving see you Technoblade!" He yells and runs out of the door.

  I climb down the latter from the top floor.

  "Y/n?! You were up there?" He exclaims.

  "Yeah I know I almost got caught. Don't have to yell at me for it." I mutter.

"I wasn't gonna yell at you. Just surprised you didn't get caught." He says in a calm tone.

"Oh, yeah but if it wasn't for you I would've gotten caught. So thank you." I give him a slight smile.

"Alright then, we have about an hour till we should leave. You wanna practice fighting?" He asks.

At this I give him a real smile. I enjoy training with him, he's so easygoing and patient. "Yeah I'd love to, uh also where is Karl?"

"He'll meet us at L'manburg when it's time. He's pretty busy, I'm not sure with what but that's what he said." Techno explains.

I nod and we head out behind the house to train.

"Take your time don't let me predict your next move." He says.

I take a deep breath and think. What would be the best move?

We fight and fight, I feel slightly tired. But now it's time to watch L'manburg fall to pieces. Techno runs inside to grab a few things and then he shows me one of his extra horses. He lets me ride it. Then he tells me once we get there to hide on the cliff overlooking L'manburg. And that Karl will be there waiting for me.

Once we get on the horses I follow him towards L'manburg. We get close enough and he signals for me to split off. I nod and head towards the cliff.
