Jeremy

Leah walked off with Aleeah.

"A joy being married to her, isn't it?"

"Yeah."

I sat next to Corey with Addie sitting on my lap.

Aleeah joined the other girls.

Leah sat next to me.

"I hate how much of her skin shows." Corey pointed out.

"I agree with that."

"Oh, here we go again. With this again."

"I can not hear this anymore." Miranda told Corey.

"I have thought about it. You can take the girls during the week."

"Have you seriously given it thought this time?"

"Yes. You can have them Sunday through Wednesday."

"Alright."

"Alright."

"You do know you haven't been away from them for that long since they were born, right?"

"I think I'll manage."

They stopped talking since the competition was about to begin.

Aleeah was doing more advanced moves than the others on her team.

The teacher was impressed too.

Aleeah grunted as she landed on her head whilst trying to do a split.

"Ouch." Miranda commented.

"That's not funny. She can seriously get hurt. But I forgot. You wouldn't understand that."

"Leah, you--"

"No. She needs to learn her place. Ali and Aleeah are mine, not hers. You don't see him trying to replace you. So, tell your Wife to stop trying to replace me. I'm their mother, not you, Miranda. I don't know when you're gonna get that through your thick head."

"Leah, you need to calm down."

"Don't tell me what to do. You don't get it. What if it was Addie? Think about it that way."

I backed off, knowing how I'd react.

"Mommy!"

Leah walked down the bleachers.

She picked Aleeah up.

"It's okay."

She whispered something to her.

"Okay."

Aleeah ran off to join the team again.

Leah sat back down next to me.

"Did you bribe our kid to get back into the competition?"

"No. That'd be stupid."

One of the Moms on the other team was staring at Aleeah.

Leah was refraining from saying something to her.

Aleeah did a split successfully.

Leah's phone was ringing.

She groaned, answering it.

"Don't you have somebody else to bother?"

"No."

"What do you want?"

"I need somebody to pretend to be my girlfriend."

"I can't imagine why you don't have a girlfriend."

"Are you gonna help me or not, Leah?"

"No. I am busy taking care of my kids."

"Yeah. You have twins."

"And another daughter."

"Are you still married to Corey?"

"Why don't you check my Facebook?"

"Well, you're married to somebody. A lot of family photos. Jeez. How many pictures does he have with Ali and Aleeah?"

"Don't worry about it. Robbie is just jealous of you."

"Jackpot."

Leah laughed.

"The last picture of just you and him was in 2014."

I looked over at Leah.

She pulled her phone away from her ear.

"Well... We're both busy. We take pictures with the kids because that's the only time we can."

Leah hung up.

"This is gonna keep happening until she gives in to get him to leave her alone. Trust me, I've played these games with him before."

Aleeah's team had won.

She ran to Leah.

She picked Aleeah up.

"Nice job, Sweetheart." Corey told her.

"Thank you."

Aleeah smiled her big smile at me.

It reminds me so much of Leah's smile when she's really happy.

I smiled back at her

I smiled back at her.

We left with Addie and Aleeah.
