Videogames are made to escape the real world. That is one of the many interpretations of why videogames are famous in the world. Many people play them to spend time with friends or to do something to pass the time while some use videogames to escape reality. In the virtual world anyone can be the hero or the villain if they so prefer. Everyone has their own preference of being the heroes or the villains, but most people prefer to be the hero of the story but sometimes being the villain is way more fun. One example of this kind of person is Robert Crane.
Robert Crane is the only child of John Crane, who is one of the creators of the world famous YGGDRASIL. Robert lost his mother at a young age when she died in a car accident. John promised to his deceased wife to give Robert the life he wants and help him any way he could. When John made YGGDRASIL, he gave a copy to Robert whom of which didn't like it at first. Robert complained that he didn't like the characters mainly the types of races he has to choose from for his avatar. Robert wanted something different, something that would make him stand out from other players. Robert then found a very old American tv series called Power Rangers Samurai, and he actually like the villains of the series, known as Nighloks, since they each had a unique power and also had very destructive powers. Robert asked his father if he could make it so that Robert's avatar was a Nighlok more specifically a modified version of his favorite Nighlok character Serrator, which John agreed to and after a few weeks, Robert was given a unique avatar. As he played the game, some of the other players try to attack him but, in the end, they meet their match since Robert was way more powerful than most of the players. This was due to his father making his character almost invincible, but that invincibility didn't last long.
One of Robert's rivals in YGGDRASIL was the son of one of the other creators of YGGDRASIL. This man was Thomas Miles who tries to beat Robert at everything even at their daily lives since he believes that his family is better than the Crane family. He tried to defeat Robert in YGGDRASIL, but Robert's avatar was too powerful which led to Thomas losing every time they fought. Thomas demanded that his father help him defeat Robert, which lead to Mr. Miles having a conversation with John Crane to learn how Robert's avatar became so powerful. John explained that his son's avatar was based on a character from an old American tv show called Power Rangers Samurai. Mr. Miles researched the show and eventually gave his own son an avatar with the powers of the leader of the Power Rangers. Thomas also asked for his father to make it so that his five closest friends in YGGDRASIL gain a power from one of the rangers, which his father agreed to the idea. So, Mr. Miles made it so that Thomas's closest friends each gained the powers of one of the Power Rangers which led to Thomas creating party that he named The Nighlok Hunters, similar to the team of Power Rangers on the tv show.
When Robert learned that Thomas gained a team to fight him, Robert decided to see what they were capable of. This led to Robert fighting them and him losing the battle since they could match his power and together, they were able to defeat him. After his defeat, Robert tried to play the game but every time he completed a quest, The Nighlok Hunters would find him, defeat him, and rob him of his newly acquired loot. Robert started to just explore the game since he didn't want to lose to Thomas again, and during one of his travels Robert, encountered an Overlord who was just wondering around. The Overlord's name was Momonga and was in a similar situation to Robert since he was always attacked by other players. Robert then asked Momonga if he wanted help to defeat those who attacked him. Momonga was confused at first to why Robert wanted to help him, but in the end, he accepted Robert's offer for help. Robert helped Momonga by working with him to hunt down and defeat Momonga's attackers. After they defeated Momonga's attackers, the two became friends and started to work together on quests and adventures. Momonga admired Robert's avatar and his powers and the two of them eventually met the leaders of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown. The guild leaders were looking for other members since they needed more members for their guild. Robert asked wouldn't they rather have other players but when they explained they were looking for other Heteromorphic race players since the guild consists of people who play as those types of characters. Robert and Momonga agreed to join the guild and they soon became the strongest members of the guild. Robert became great friends with most of the members of the guild and grew very close to the three female members of the guild, which lead to him being made fun of by some of the other guild members.
As time passed, Robert asked his father to help with the tomb of Nazarick by adding a floor for his own creatures and NPCs. John agreed to the idea and created a new floor to the tomb where Robert based the design of the floor to the Netherworld of Power Rangers Samurai with a few towns scattered throughout the Sanzu River for those who aren't Nighlok. Robert also asked his dad if he could add other characters to the game so that he could help his guild defend Nazarick against intruders. John agreed to this even though his co-worker, Mr. Miles, hated the idea since he believed that his guild doesn't deserve help. This is because Ainz Ooal Gown was notorious for attacking other guilds that didn't consists of Heteromorphic races. John reminded Mr. Miles that he gave his son Thomas and his closest friends overpowered characters to fight Robert and other players who play as Heteromorphic races. Robert then made copies of some of the Nighloks from the show including a version of Master Xandred which was created to be a general class Nighlok in the Nighlok army. Robert also made it so that the Sanzu River can recreate a Nighlok so that if one of his followers dies in battle, the NPC will return by rising from the depths of the Sanzu River. Robert and his Nighloks would attack other guilds which led to most guilds fearing the Nighloks and Nazarick while admiring the Nighlok Hunters since they would help other guilds defend against the Nighloks. As the years passed more and more members left the guild, Ainz Ooal Gown, since they had things to worry about in the real world. One day John informed his son that YGGDRASIL will be shutting down which Robert tried to prevent by talking to the other creators, but he couldn't stop the creators from shutting the game down. It is the last day for YGGDRASIL and Robert is about to log on for the final time before the game ends. Robert prefers the virtual world over the real world and wishes he continue his work in YGGDRASIL, but he knows that he can't stay in the gaming world forever. Or so he thinks.
