"Yua darling please slow down." Wei Ying held onto the girl's hand.

"Mom, you really don't have to baby me. Just let me go and shop! You always let Lan Ai go alone. Why not me?"

"Because my dear, you are a respectful young lady. Now I'm going to order us some hot steamed buns, please stay close... and not spend too much money, Your father always knows when I steal his coins." Wei Ying said, chuckling as he paid for the steamed buns, waiting for them to be ready.

Yua walked around the small village and made her way to a gift shop that sold many items, one being a paper butterfly. "haha , I remember when Uncle Wen brought these for me." She said aloud and to herself. She set them down and turned around bumping into someone. "Oh my bad." She bowed trying to apologise, when she looked up she saw a young man in a purple robe.

"Maybe watch where you're going." He said in a harsh tone then he left the store without another word.

Yua found it strange and then went over to Wei Ying who had the buns, "Here honey." He said give her one.

"Papa, can I ask why we come to this village instead of Yunmeng village? It is far closer than this one..." She said, taking her seat and began biting into the yummy bun.

"I've told you, the area here is bigger and has far more good food." He said bluntly. Wei Ying leaned back, filling his stomach with the buns.

Wei Ying glanced around keeping an eye on people. He felt out of place. The fact that he used to be in a clan. Promising to raise his children in the same clan yet sending them to Gusu instead.

After Wei Ying left the night Jiang Cheng had his baby boy. He never returned. He didn't want to feel like a burden. He got many weird looks the day he sent his kids to Gusu to learn. He felt like a trader. But at the same time it must bring Jiang Cheng some peace. Right?

Lan Xichen approached Lan zhan the day Lan Ai and Yua started to learn the Gusu rules. He asked him why they no longer visited. Lan zhan explained he would still come and visit but alone and with no kids. This was due to Wei Ying's feelings that he had somehow created in his head.

Not many months after Jiang Cheng had his kid, lan sizhui gave birth to a baby girl that he and Jin Ling felt that they weren't ready for so they let her get adopted by a sweet couple that was unable to have kids of their own. Jin Ling returned to the jiang sect where he began learning how to be a sect leader and lan sizhui decided to stay in Gusu for a few more years before taking his cultivation elsewhere.

Wei Ying turned to Yua who seemed already very eager to get home. "Why are you so happy?" Wei Ying said, pinching the girl's cheek.

"Mom!" She said huffing then walking at a quick pace. "It's because Wen Ning is coming for dinner. Right? That is tonight."

"Yes yes. But please don't overwhelm him." He said walking. Wei Ying took a step outside of the village then paused, feeling a familiar presence. He turned, seeing no one, then glanced around. He then shook his head and proceeded to leave.

"So that's... my uncle Wei Ying..." A boy mumbled before rushing off elsewhere.

"IM TELLING YOU THIS IS STUPID!" Lan Ai threw the bow down and sat on the grass. Lan zhan reached down picking the bow up and moving to his very upset son.

"Lan Ai. Please. Let's talk ok-" Lan zhan was cut off by Wei Ying and Yua's laughing.

"Daddy!" Yua said, rushing, grabbing the bow from her brother's hands and flinging an arrow from it.
