TOMORROW, THERE'LL BE SUN- CHAPTER TWO: SUB-CHAPTER ONE
===================================================================
It happened the very next day.
Not even after two days, no, after one.
Even I'd have pegged my sister to have more pride that that. Yes, the Golden Couple of the school was back together. Sienna called me specifically to thank me for taking care of Sean that night. She gushed about how she thought they'd be together forever, that he was the Brad to her Angelina, the William to her Kate, if you please. Needless to say, I hung up.
Sienna was obviously staying at his place. I was home. She was not. I was home, our parents were not. To sum: I was alone.
Trudging down the stairs with my brown hair in a bun and dressed in my favourite outfit; an oversized sweatshirt and no pants, I poured myself a mug of Swiss Miss. Then, what I like to refer to as the "Doorbell Moment" happened. Clearly, it started with my doorbell ringing.
I answered, forgetting my state, and lo behold, it was the Brad to my sister's Angelina.
"Sean," I stated, his name bitter on my tongue.
He ran a hand through his dishevelled hair.
"Listen, Kend, I need to explain about last night," he started but I rolled my eyes.
"Yep, it's good, never happened, you never meant it, I won't tell Si, goodbye Sean."
He stopped the door with his hand.
"No, stop! I did. I meant what I said," he said and I laughed.
"Oh sorry, I must've missed the part where you said you were going to take her back the very next day. Instead, I heard that she messed you guys up for good," I said, crossing my arms.
"Look Kend, I need your help," he pleaded.
"With?" I asked and he said those three words. I'd hoped to hear them in past tense, but asking for help with it was better than nothing.
"Getting over Sienna."
I lightly tap my chin in mock consideration. "Done. Let's do it. Let's go right now, I know just the place, did you bring your car?" I glanced around him. "Nope, so stay right here and I'm gonna grab my keys," I said and turned before he yanked me back.
"Kendall, you might want to put on some pants," he said, smiling. I gasped.
"Sean this never happened!" I yelled at him, backtracking into the house. Sprinting up the stairs two at a time, I yanked on a tight pair of ripped jeans and swapped the USCM sweatshirt for a blue and white crop top. Racing down the stairs, I grabbed my keys from the console and my phone. Locking the door behind me, I smiled up at Sean.
"Ready!" I turned to head for the car before he pulled me back. Again. This was getting tiresome.
"Why are you doing this Kendall? Why are you helping me so eagerly?" he asked and I swallowed.
"Because you're my best friend?" I said, and it came out almost as a question. Even I didn't believe myself. Sean shot me a skeptical look.

THE TRUTH- CHAPTER TWO: SUB-CHAPTER TWO
===================================================================
"Tell me the truth, Kend," he said.
Yes, tell him Kendall! Tell him all about how you've liked him since he first transferred to school three years ago, with his brown windswept hair. Tell him how you loved the way he wore cotton t-shirts instead of the standard varsity jacket uniform all the boys at school wore.
Tell him you loved his passion for history, the way it lit up his eyes from within, tell him how you almost died of shock when he walked up to you halfway through sophomore year and introduced himself. Tell him how you got goosebumps every time he brushed into you, tell him how you've hated your sister even more when she seduced you as her, and I quote "play-thing", tell him how your heart breaks every time Sienna kisses him, how you want to slap her face every time she breaks his heart. Tell him.
"I just...really hate my sister," I shrugged. "Let's go, Sean," I said, tugging him towards the car and that was that.
Someday.

OKAY SORRY I keep changing the plot for this book! I've been toying with the idea of what to do for this and I think I finally am settling with this idea. Sorry again!
