Because of Kyungwoo's friends and classmates' help, he was able to improve his average score. Their voices replayed in his head while taking the test especially Haena's voice. He wasn't able to reach an average score of 70 but their teacher decided to let them off the hook and not give them an after-school self-study because the whole class' average went up and they aren't in the last place among the classes anymore. The others decided to celebrate and eat tteokbokki together but Kyungwoo wasn't able to come because he wanted to have dinner with his mother. Kyungwoo's mother instructed to bring Haena along as a thank you for her efforts. Haena was called to the teacher's office so she wasn't able to come with Jooyoung and the others. She was planning to catch up to them but she saw Kyungwoo waiting by their school gate.

Kyungwoo walked towards Haena when she stopped by the gate, "Mom said to bring you along to eat dinner with us."

"It's okay, you don't really have to do it."

"I'm too lazy to think of an excuse for you, just come along. Besides, it's just dinner." Kyungwoo started walking, Haena wasn't able to resist and just followed him.

"Is it too uncomfortable for you? Should we ask Jooyoung to come along?" Kyungwoo whispered as they sat side by side on the bus.

"I'm fine either way. But is it really okay to bring Jooyoung even if you're mom didn't invite him? She wasn't expecting him."

"It's okay. It wasn't the first time either. But I think Jooyoung ate enough already." Haena chuckled while Kyungwoo was grinning. Kyungwoo took out his phone and started playing. Haena got curious and just watched him play. She finds it amusing every time Kyungwoo would get frustrated when he loses. His expressions while playing were somehow interesting for her. Haena listened to music while watching Kyungwoo play games.

"Hello, auntie. Thank you for inviting me." Kyungwoo's mom immediately welcomed them as soon as they entered the house.

"Hello, Haena. It's been a long time since I saw you. You got prettier." Kyungwoo's mom smiled warmly at her, it somehow calmed her.

"Wash your hands so we could eat." Kyungwoo led Haena to the bathroom to wash her hands then he did the same after her.

"Is there anything I could help with?" Haena whispered to Kyungwoo who was placing utensils at the table.

"Just sit there calmly, you're a guest." Haena just nodded and followed Kyungwoo with her gaze as he helped his mom set the table. Haena bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from smiling too much. The situation made her giddy and heartwarming. It's been a while since she ate with this kind of setup. Usually, Jooyoung and her would eat dinner together since they were both living alone. Sometimes Jooyoung would cook and sometimes they would just get delivery food especially if they have a lot of school works to do.

Once they were done preparing, she took a bite after Kyunwoo's mom and Kyungwoo took theirs. Her eyes started to water as she eats. "Hey, why are you crying? Does my mom's cook taste that bad?"

Haena immediately waved his hand to disagree, "It's just too hot." She gave them a silly smile.
