Once upon a time

**Many Eons Ago**

Once upon a time in far off land there was a kingdom. In this kingdom there was a princess. This princess was not like any princess ever heard of. She was a loving soul with the power of Light. When she did a good deed she looked like a brilliant star. The people loved her and she loved her people. She never had a bad thought in her whole life.

"That's why when the time came for war she was the first to go", said Kenneth interrupting Grandma's story.

I turned sharply towards him "If she had to die because she wouldn't kill anyone than I guess I would have died and that position to."

Grandma looked loving at both of us and sighed, " may I continue my story now"

I look back at her with full attention. My brother merely yawns " if you must"

Grandma just smiles and continues her story....

One day the princess was called for a meeting with her parents whom she rarely saw but it did not bother her because her heart was filled with compassion. The king barely looked at his daughter when she walked in merely threw a set of keys at her and said " she needs another light session. I can barely stand the noise from the tower" The princess who never thinks about herself sighed and said " who will accompany me when I go to her"

"No one" the king said. The princess simply stared back. "Okay"

The royal family was loved by the people but what the people didn't know is that they harbored a dirty secret. On the night the princess was born the queen had twins. One born from the light and one born of the dark. Twins. No one knew but it was prophesied that the dark one would rise up over her sister light and strike her dead at 21 years of age. So as the queen lay dying she said to the king " save them". And that the king did even when the dark one grew older and she hurt so many people he still decide to save them both. But when the dark one was only 13 she killed one of the kings royal advisors. The king wept for his daughter and the failed promise to his wife. So she was taken to the highest tower and banished for many years to come. But since the light princess was full of light If she touched the dark one she grew momentarily full of light and grew calm. The light princess hated her visits to her sister but she gritted her teeth and started to walk up the long tower stairs.
