Once Upon A Time in a dark room in another realm... A Dark Princess starts to carry out her plans.
First part of the plan is to eliminate the one thing that has always stood in her way, her Father, King Jeffery.
As she slips quietly through the silent castle halls, she makes it to the kings office. She glides in through the door and closer to his bedroom door adjacent to the office. The door to his bedroom id slightly cracked and light is flooding through. She smiles too herself, this will be easier than she thought. And then she hears him speak. She startles and retreats but when she realize the old fool isn't talking to her, she creeps back slowly and peers through the crack and the door. She sees the old crone down on his knees and laughs a little to herself when she realizes that the foolish king is praying.
Praying out loud he says
"Please help me rule my kingdom fairly and peacefully. Please help me overcome the grief in my heart or i fear i will not live long. Rosalind is not yet ready for the weight of this kingdom, i'm afraid that if i shall go now this kingdom would fall into ruins. Please protect her in all of her days to come and forever more. And as for my Ophelia, My Ophelia, Please save her from her herself.
With this the dark princess could take no more. She strides into the room. There is a split second before the king realize this is not his darling Rose. Then there is recognition in his eyes as he goes to make a sound Ophelia covers his mouth with her hand. " Don't worry Daddy i'm going to take care of you just like you took care of me and she pulls the letter opener out of her corset and smiles.
She kisses his cheek and slits his throat from ear to ear.
With this,
Alice wakes up in a cold sweat, heartbeat racing, hand over her heart as she tries to come to grips with what she just saw.
