Natasha P.O.V
I didn't trust that girl for a second. I had to lead them on, or else they would be suspicious of me. Especially the girl. I could tell she wasn't just some city girl who stumbled across Bucky and Loki. It was impossible. And the whole thing with Tony? No way is she normal. But I kept quiet.
A couple days after the incident, she was forced to talk. "Percy, we need to know. What happened." Bruce asked. She was sitting down and looked small. She mumbled something incoherent and I stood next to Bruce.
"What was that, Percy?" I asked in a sweet voice.
"I was abused, okay?" She said loudly.
The room stood in shocked silence and I pretended along with them. I had guessed. She looked just like the girls in the red room.
"Percy, I don't want to push you, but we need to understand how severe it was." Clint said.
She sighed, but continued, "When I was about four, my mom married this guy. Gabe Ugliano. I called him Smelly Gabe. He seemed nice—for about three seconds. I never truly understood why she married him." Percy shook her head and said, "after about three months with him, he hit me for the first time. He told me that if I told my mom, he would hurt her too. Over the years it got worse and worse. He slowly came up with worse and worse punishments." She sniffed, then practically whispered, "The closet was the worse." She cleared her throat then said louder, "when I got to be about nine, my mom would go on longer trips for her jobs. Gabe, not wanting to deal with me, would lock me in a closet. It could be as short as three hours or as long as five days. He would give me water and food occasionally, but I hated every second of it. When I was twelve he went missing. I'm healed now, but it was....rough." She took a shaky breath and covered her face.
I could not help a pang of pity from ringing through my body and soul. This girl was just. Like. Me. I hate it. I kept a straight face but could see James and Bruce looking at me.
Bruce cleared his throat and asked Percy, "Have you seen a Theripist or doctor?"
"Yes. Well, not a Theripist, but a doctor, yes." She mumbled.
"How bout you start going to therapy? We have a wonderful Theripist here in the building. He's here to help Tony, Natasha, Steve, Bucky, and pretty much the entire team. We all have our demons. He just helps us get past them." Bruce said. I frowned at my name, but still kept quiet.
"I think that would really help you Perce." James said. I could see Percy fingering the edge of her shirt. She looked pale and I looked at Bucky. I gestured with my head and he got the message. He sat on the couch and hugged her. She crumbled immediately and hugged him back. She looked weak, but through that I saw a strength in her.
I needed to know more. And what a better way to interrogate someone than to invite them to
Girls night.
After Percy was done being asked questions, I grabbed her arm and dragged her to my room. "Hey Percy you know what would cheer you up?" The miserable teen looked up with a sarcastic look on her face. "What?" She asked.
"Girls night. Pepper, Wanda and I go every month and we have one planned for this Saturday. We thought we would invite you. And along with that Pepper has work off tonight, so we might be able to reschedule it for tonight." I explained.
She grinned, and responded, "That would be lovely. If it isn't a bother to Wanda and Pepper, I'd love to."
I smiled and said, "Okay. See you tonight."
So.. it's short. And about six months late. I'm so sorry, I had no inspiration, and I am hoping to finish the next couple of chapters soon. I think I will try to have a backlog, so it may be a while before the next update. So sorry, but I hope you like this little bit!
Bye wattpadians!
