Chapter 4. The Underwater City

I felt my legs started to mold together and feel the fins sprouting along my tail as I swam into a forest of kelp. I was suspended in the water looking back at the portal waiting for Chance, and Clover. C'mon where are they, you can do it guys right when I was about to lose hope when I saw Clover swim through

"Where's Chance?"

"He stayed back, he said that he was allergic to water or something..."

Clover kept going on about something but I zoned out Knowing that it was an excuse to not come into the water

"And she was like-"

"Be right back Clover stay here"

I interrupted her swimming to the portal, I dove through the gateway landing on my feet I didn't see him anywhere

"Chance?!"

Silence.. I was starting to get worried

"Chance!"

I started walking back into the trees

"Chance.."

Starting to give up there is no way I could find him.

"Snow? .. Why are you out here?"

"Chance! I came back for you, you are coming with us"

"No I'm not"

"Yes you are"

"No I'm not"

"Yes you are"

"No I'm-"

"Why, why can't you come"

Starting to get slightly mad, I crossed my arms

"I just don't want to alright?"

"No not alright, tell me if your going to not go into the Water Level I need a good reason"

"...when I was a boy, I lost my ball I went to look for it and found it in this lake.. I went to grab it and I fell into the water.. Drowning,"

He paused for a long time

" someone rescued me a stranger walking by that's when I got bitten"

"Chance..."

I walked closer to him

"I'm so sorry"

pulling him into a hug, I mumbled into his neck

"That won't happen this time, trust me I'm right here, what to know something weird?"

"Sure.."

"Well even though I'm a Snowmadian I went to school here in the water level.."

"Haha sweet"
I just nodded it wasn't really "sweet" my arch enemy Victoria Frost (I know right!! Even her name sounds evil) ever since first grade she has always been in all my classes she was that girl who was always cherished and loved by the whole school and got crowned for almost everything such a brat.

Suddenly I felt him tense up then relax as I held onto him, I grabbed his hand and ran towards the portal it was fine until I got right in front of the portal Feeling him stop behind me.

"What's wrong?"
I asked him

"Nothing... I just I'm not sure"

"It's okay,"

I walked slowly into the portal feeling the water wrap around me, Chance right behind me.

I felt his hand grip tighter around mine I turned sound facing him he was shirtless his six- pack leading down to his v-line, with a greenish yellowish tale shimmering in the small amounts of sunlight, next to me and my blue and purple tail.

"Bout time guys, gosh what took so long" clover said with her little sassy tongue

"I was just-"

"We were just Having a small conversation real quick before coming through sorry" I interrupted Chance I don't really think Clover needed to know about his childhood nightmares.

"So!! Let's go," I broke the silence

"we are going to the City!!"

I shouted swimming away a couple minutes later I heard Chance clear his throat and I realized I was still holding his hand

"Haha sorry" chuckling nervously I removed my hand from his.

"So what about this underwater city?" He asked me

"Yeah"

I heard Clover agree with him firmly as she swam between us. (All fairies can swim but only fishling fairies have tails, never understood it that much but can't do anything about it).

After swimming I don't even want to know how long through many kelp forests, couple coral reefs, a school of fish and a heaped of Dolphins swimming with dolphins is the coolest they are so fun. Dolphins never have an attitude, always happy and cheerful, and are always there if you need them so uh ya defiantly best species ever.

"Are we almost theeeerrreee yetttt" clover was whining she kept slowing down

"Here" I said gently grabbing her and putting her under my arm

"Oh I like it in here" she nestled into my arm curling up I giggled.

After about 5 more minutes we got to a cliff

"Here we are guys"
Clover stretched her arms and legs out yawning swimming up

"I don't see nothing" she shrugged coming back to me

"I don't think so," I put my hand up stopping her

"Look closer" smirking I watched as Clover and Chance got closer and then their eyes were widened

"Told ya" I chuckled swimming down the cliff, man I missed this City it's called the Blue City (I know so creative right).

A huge golden arch outlined the gateway into the city, as we got closer and closer finally we ended up looking straight at the gateway as a huge guard stood and looked out into the distance not even noticing us.

"Hey!!"
I yelled at him, waving my hands in the air. After about the hundredth thousandth time I yelled he finally looked down chuckling, chuckling?

"Stop it" I Pouted, feeling tiny made me sad

"Don't be sad, he is just laughing because your so cute" squinting his face.

"Okay.." I turned back to the rude annoying selfish mean guard.

"Hey ! You going to let us in?"

"Sure" his voice was the deepest voice I've ever heard it was kind of scary. He touched the gate and it opened probably some bond or something I don't know, We cautiously swam through the gate welcomed by a huge city. Blue, green, golden, silver built up the city as all the building, houses, stores etc. Were all matching I turned around seeing a wide eyed- wide mouthed Clover,and a Chance gawking at something he noticed me watching him- watching something else he came closer

"I don't like crowded places"
he whispered huskily (huskily?? My inner self repeated) into my ear, I just blushed.

"O-Okay we can go somewhere else"
