Flashback to 2 weeks ago

Divya came to visit Doctor Anjali and her partner Doctor Sojal. She was having major pains around her back and belly.

She sometimes had spottings and her crampings got worse. She got really tired quickly and her frequent urination made her double think.

The morning of her appointment she got out of the bathroom in a robe, her spotting got worse. She was far from getting a period so she rushed herself to the gynecologist's office.

Dr.Sojal was there as Dr.Anjali had a emergency c-section. Dr.Sojal got Divya prepped and into the check up room.

Dr.Sojal":When did you last have your period?"

Divya:"Im not sure. Its delayed for the past 2 months, im not sure why doc!"...she says nervously

Dr.Sojal:"Okay, its nothing to scar you. But how old are you?"

Divya:"Im going to be 27 soon. Why is there something wrong? As it it i cant fall pregnant, so whats worse removing my..."

Dr.Sojal:"Im happy to tell you nothing is wrong. But you need to come innwhen Dr.Anjali is here, just so i can confirm. Can you wait around here, she should be out of surgery!"

Divya:"Uhm, okat!"

Dr.Sojal:"Dr.Anjali, your paitent Divya Mathur..."

Dr.Anjali:"Hi,yes! Whats wrong with her?"

Dr.Sojal:"You nees to come with me. She is here for a check-up but i think she is ..."

Dr.Anjali:"She couldnt fall pregnant and its been almost 2months since i put her on treatment. So is she pregnant?"

Dr.Sojal:"I think, thats wht i waited for you!"

They got to the room Divya was waiting for them to arrive. Divya was covered with a hospital gown and was seated onto the bed.

Dr.Anjali checked her blood pressure and sugar levels and then brought out the ultrsound machine.

Divya:"Whats going on!?"

Dr.Anjali:"So im juat going to check your tubes and eggs. Have you been intimate in the last few weeks?"

Divya:"Of course i have..heheh"

Dr.Anjali:"First we hace to do a Transvaginal ultrasound. Its special transducer is gently inserted into the vagina to get a quick look at the uterus and ovaries."

Divya:"you are scarying me. Just get it done with, please!"

Dr.Anjali applieed the gel to the machine before inserting it into Divya. Divya clammed onto the bed. Dr.Anjali checked her ovaries and uterus.was perfect. The internal damages she had was repaired.Dr.Anjali then did a sonogram.

Dr.Anjali:"Divya Mathur, im happy to tell you you going to have a junior!"

Divya:"Bu-but thats not possible fdrom the last time you saw me. With the damages i had on the inside, it was dangerous to carry."

Dr.Anjali:"Yes, sweetheart but you aree now! Congratulations. I suggest that you tell Arun the good news."

Divya:"Yes i will..i have to plan to tell him perfectly."

Dr.Anjali:"Why dont you bring him in for the next checkup?"

Divya:"He wil probably be busy. How far along am i, that my body hasnt changed?"

Dr.Anjali:"Your body has changed. Your breasts have swollen aswell as a bit of weight gain. You should be about 14 weeks. But keep taking these and your baby and you should be fine. See you for the next appointment!"

Present Day

Divya's Pov
-walking out of the doctors office to Arun waiting at the car

I dont know why but im nervous to tell Arun. His going to be a dad, we're gonna be parents. I remember when we found out i couldnt carry a baby.

(Holds little baby bump) You came just when we didnt expect it, you going to change everything. I wonder how your dad's gonna react, his going to be the happiest guy when i tell him. For now he needs to get me food and apologize.
