"We're like brothers, Will!" "Don't say that you will make me cry."

It was the next day and Tommy was alone on a discord call with Wilbur. They were talking about some of Tommy's vlogs when the particular "Am I Strong Enough For Ninja Warrior?" came up. Wilbur told him he would have been ten times better at the course than Tommy was, which may be true, but that doesn't stop the younger from arguing back about it.

"Brother Will, I am the very biggest man, nothing can beat me." Tommy exclaimed before continuing. "Can you believe it? Toby agreed that most find me annoying! I certainly cannot!" Tommy joked.

"Why do you say that anyway?" Wilbur started after a brief chuckle before continuing. "The 'most find me annoying at first'? Sure we call you annoying sometimes but it's not something we really used to describe you. Besides we only called you it more when you began using it as the intro."

Comfortable silence began filling the discord call as the brunette awaited his answer, the atmosphere still light. On the other end the blonde was lost in thought. Not struggling per say, but how was he supposed to explain this? Wasn't it just common knowledge? It was actually quite obvious for Tommy, only to take yesterday for an example really. The bruise on his arm serves as evidence of that.

"Well, I am, aren't I? Tommy asked but with certainly, along with a shrug even though they don't have their cameras on. "I guess that if I address it at the start people will -hopefully- accept it quicker and well, subscribe?" Even with the statement kinda being voiced like a question, it was clear that he thought it was obvious, adding another unnoticed shrug at the end.

That was the wrong answer, Tommy realized.

"N-no... Toms, no" Wilbur said, sounding shocked and... sad?

The call wasn't in comfortable silence anymore, it felt suffocating for Tommy and he was grateful for the cameras being off, as Tommy began shifting nervously in his gaming chair. He was now, in fact, struggling.

After a bit of more uncomfortable silence, Willbur asked "You don't actually believe that, do you?"

Tommy was confused, he didn't understand, wasn't that just the hard truth?

"But that's what I've always been told. Say you haven't read the comments? Actually, that isn't the important part, they more so just confirm it." Tommy explains trying to keep a steady voice, but it was admittedly falling apart. He felt very vulnerable at the moment. Deep down he knew that something was very wrong with his family and how that came to mirror his image of himself, the realisation coming forth the more he hung out with his friends, but still, it was hard to let go of old habits.

Wilbur takes a deep breath, he can't believe what he's hearing. Of course he knew he had some sort of persona on when he was streaming or vlogging, but they had been on call many times just the two of them, and many nights where they have had 'deep talks', so why hadn't he ever expressed this insecurity before?

"Who," Wibur started. "Who told you that? Toms, that's not true, I promise. Tommy you are not annoying, okay? We would never be annoyed by you."

"But I am Will! My- my parents.. they- they..." Omg Tommy can't believe he actually said it, he mentioned his parents! They weren't supposed to know, Wilbur wasn't supposed to know! What if he now finds him weak? He won't be able to handle that! And omg what if his parents find out?! He'll be dead!

"-ommy, breath!" Tommy snapped out from his spiraling thoughts by Wilburs steady voice. "Just follow my breathing, okay Toms?"

Tears were falling down his cheeks and his breathing felt shallow, but he tried to follow Wilburs rhythm, who also tried to combine breathing and counting to help Tommy to the best of his abilities. And sure enough, after a long time of just the two of them breathing, Tommy's breathing evened out and both felt far more calmer.

"Oh Toms." There was Wilbur's sad voice again, but it felt oh so comforting. "You will be okay, okay? I will help you, okay Toms? So do you mind explaining it more to me?"

Tommy took one more big breath in and out. Was he really going to do this now?

"Okay." Tommy said finally. "Okay, sure, yes I will... Thank you Wilby." Wilbur couldn't help a small smile forming on his lips. He shifted a little in his chair and put on his camera.

He was going to do everything he could to help his little brother.
