Chapter 4: Lies

"What?" She said confused. Why is he telling her this? On their anniversary if she may add? What is he lying about?

"No, Mine it's not what you think. I love you and you know I will never lie or hide anything from you." Jasper quickly said as he heard Elle's tone. He knew she was already making up conclusions that were way far from what was really happening.

"Then what 'lies' exactly did you tell me?" Elle asked, the scared feeling that was inside of her vanished a little, but she was confused as hell. What lies did he tell her? Was it really for her? She wants to hear everything from him.

"First, there wasn't really a 'major emergency' I just made that up to convince you to come with me since you were mad at me." Jasper reminded. Elle already knew that and she wasn't mad one bit, it was for their anniversary and she understands why he had to lie.

"I wasn't mad at you, Mine." She held his hand, his hand was cold but he was sweating hard. He's nervous. She could already tell, all it needs was for him to shake to make it really obvious.

"Thank you." He smiled at her. He was calmed down by her touch. It gave him more strength to do what he had to do.

"Mine, remember that day when I went to work early and didn't get to wake you up at your condo?" Jasper asked and Elle nodded. She remembers it perfectly.

"I didn't go there for work, well technically it is work, but it wasn't for the office. I was working on this." Jasper picked up his laptop from the grass at the side of the bench they were seated. Where did that came from? Elle asked herself.

Jasper handed Elle the laptop and it was on a website called HeyMine.com

"It's a website I made for you. It's a compilation of everything between us, from the beginning till now."Jasper explained as she was examining the website. It had every picture they had together. It was like an album and journal and a scrap book all in one. It had their first picture together; the surprise birthday Jasper organized for Elle; the picture of their gifts on their birthdays and monthsaries, even the coffee and the notes.

It was amazing. It was also like a story, their story was there. Tears strolled down Elle's face as she saw it. It was so beautiful.

"Someone is actually taping this right now." Jasper stated.

"Thank you Jasper. I thought I couldn't be happier when you gave me Casper, but you proved me wrong. You made me so happy that it feels so unreal." Elle said as she looked up at Jasper who was watching her. He wiped her tears away and whispered all good things to keep her calm.

"I need to blind fold you now." Jasper took out his hanky and gently tied it around Elle's head to cover her eyes.

"I also lied when I said I don't sing. I will do everything for you, Mine." He stood up in front of her and took her hand from the chair so she was also standing then he started singing.

"A hundred and five is the number that comes to my head when I think of all the years I want to be with you.

Wake up every morning with you in my bed, that's precisely what I plan to do. " He sang 'Marry Me' by Jason Derulo and skipped to the chorus to remove Elle's blind fold.

"I say will you marry me? I swear that I will mean it I say will you marry me? You got me singing, oh oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh. How many girls in the world can make me feel like this? Mine, I don't ever plan to find out. The more I love the more I find the reasons why you're the love of my life.

And if I lost everything, in my heart it means nothing cuz' I have you, girl I have you." He made Elle to look up at the sky to see the words written 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?' in the heavens. More tears ran down Elle's face as she read it. She covered her mouth to keep herself from sobbing.
