I guess I've grown accustomed to being alone. I mean I have friends, I think? I can never really tell if people are laughing with me or at me. Being a gryffindor means being surrounded by big personality's, the popular kids, I do not fit into this crowd. Sometimes I wonder if the sorting hat got it wrong with me. I don't really feel like a gryffindor, I'm not loud and fun and a crazy rule breaker with a bunch of friends like all the others. So when Daphne Greengrass started talking to me a few weeks ago I was understandably confused. I didn't really trust her at all at first, it seemed to good to be true, she was genuinely interested in my hobbies and the things I like, which no one ever is so I don't really know how to talk to her. I guess it's nice, someone taking an interest in me, even if it is slightly suspicious that it's a very popular Slytherin. I get very lonely sometimes. Sat at a table with Harry Potter the chosen one, as someone like me will very easily make you feel invisible. For the first time I feel like someone sees me. It's nice, I have someone to talk to other than my ficus. "Hey you" Daphne said sitting next to me at the Gryffindor table. This seemed to turn a few heads, and the attention made me uneasy. "Uh- hi" I said awkwardly looking down into my soup to avoid the glares of a a few people around us. "So I was wondering if you'd like to come to a party tonight in our common room? I have a few friends to introduce you too." Daphne brushed her blonde hair from her face and smiled sweetly at me. "Me? A party? A Slytherin party? Oh I don't know" I say still desperately trying to hide from any attention I'm getting. "Oh come on it will be fun, you'll be fine you'll be with me!" She pleaded putting a hand on my arm. Some whispering began around us and the idea people must be getting made me shudder a little so I had to put an end to it. "Ok fine, fine I'll go" I say removing her hand from my arm. "Excellent, meet me by the library at eight" she said before leaning in and kissing my cheek. I felt my face go crimson and looked down at my food again. If people didn't have the wrong idea before they definitely did now.
