[Third person again]

Shadow sat on her back, staring at the ceiling. It was raining. Shadow was usually fine with the rain, but this rain came with thunder. Very loud thunder. The rain whipped against Shadows windows, pattering loudly. Shadow took deep breaths, trying to prevent the loud thunder from phasing her. She stood up slowly, walking over to her door, opening it and leaving the room, making sure to close the door behind her. She walked to the bathroom, which was located more toward the center of the house. It should hypothetically be quieter there, plus there's no windows there.

Shadow sat on the floor of the bathroom, trying to block out the noise of the thunder. Crash. Lightning struck, causing the ground to shake slightly, and the thunder to make the corresponding loud noise. Shadow jumped as memory after memory of childhood trauma crashed throughout her senses. Pain, yelling, hitting, glass shattering, the taste of blood. All of it. Tears streamed down Shadows face, as Shadow panicked. "No, no, no, please don't hurt me! No, no, no, no, no." Shadow said through panicked sobs. Another loud crash of thunder scared Shadow, causing her to jump. She felt her chest constrict, and felt like she couldn't breathe. Shadow was trying to breathe, while remembering the day her mother left. She hated it, seeing her mom just walk out, and never come back. (Lol, Shadows mom went out for milk.) Shadow passed out, unable to breathe.
