Lemon found out that her two closest friends had died exactly 2 days 6 hours 43 minutes and 13 seconds after it happened. Three weeks later, Lemon's household had CPS called on because Lemon hadn't been to school. One of the kids from Lemons class mentioned that Lemon always came to school with bruises and cuts. When CPS arrived in the household, neither parent was to be found. After searching the house, Lemon was found dead in her room hanging from the ceiling fan. Some say it was a suicide. Some say it was a murder. Why don't we go back to that night?

Lemon sat in the middle of their room. A bloodied razor in her fingers, and cuts across her arms. But she didn't feel any of it. The only expression she showed was a crazed smile with bloodshot eyes. She was long gone, obviously she'd gone insane. She bled onto the carpet, though the smile didn't fade. After tying one end of the noose to the ceiling fan, she grabbed a chair and stood on it. I think you know what happens from here. Lemon hung herself that night, unable to bear with the guilt of not saying I love you to the pair one last time.

Lemons parents were charged with child abuse and were put in prison for the rest of their lives. Shadow's mother never found out, and her father found out through the news. Despite the fact that she was his child, he didn't care much and only saw it as a way out of the responsibility of parenting. Nox's parents by far took it the hardest. They loved their child, and were very supportive. The child's death hit them hard, but they coped with it. They passed away from old age a few years later. The major thing they grieved was not being able to help Lemon and Shadow.
