"You're very lucky Mrs. (l/n). That harpoon barely missed piercing your stomach. It may look bad but it's not as bad as you think. We can have you fixed in no time at all." The doctor said.
Everybody let out a sigh of relief knowing that everything was gonna be ok and that nothing was serious.
I on,y had to stay in the hospital for a couple days for the wounds to heal up before I could leave. So,we soon left.
We went back to portorosso. But when we got there,it wasn't a very warm welcome.
"Sea monster!" A lady yelled. As she had recognized my face. "Sea monster! There it is!" A man yelled as he came running up. The sun was going down and the sky filled with colors of purple and pink.
Ercole protected me with his arm. A crowd of people formed around us. I was frightened and didn't know what would happen. I didn't want to be killed. I was so close to death the last time I was found out.
People with harpoons started to form around me,extremely close to poking my arms. "Get her ragazzi!" A man yelled. People started to reach for me,but Ercole stopped them.
"What is it now!? Just kill the beast! You've killed more before!" A man in a hat yelled to him. Ercole sighed. "No,I didn't." He said in a upset tone.
Everybody started chatting in a confused manner. "What do you mean you didn't kill any?" A different man yelled.
He sighed and turned to the crowed.
"After you all left,I may have acted like I didn't like her." Ercole gestured to me. "But really,I do. And I love her more then like." Ercole said witha smile. Everyone gasped in confusion and distress. "I couldn't let you guys kill her. So. I let her go and made up a story that I killed her." Ercole said.
"So we've been living a lie!? Thinking you were the hero of the town for doing something you didn't really do!?" I man questioned. "Si." Ercole replied.
"Well! That just means we have more reasons to kill her!" Another guy yelled. "salva portarosso!" A woman yelled as she waved her fist in the air. (salva portarosso! Means save portorosso!)
Men started walking up on me with harpoons ready to strike.
"Wait!" Luca yelled. "If you're gonna kill her,kill me to." He said as he poured a cup of water over his head. Everyone gasped. "ce ne sono due?" Man asked the person beside him. (ce ne sono due? Means there's two of them?)
"And me too." Alberto said as he dunked his into the fountain. "Tre!?" A woman exclaimed. (Tre means three) us three stood there together and watched the crowed in shock.
