I frown as I watch Sota and Kagome leave for school. I sit in the tree my lover died in and wait till they come home. I hate how they grew up so fast, now they don't even pay attention to me in the house. They barely say hi to me. I always watch over them though. For they are the reason I live, I breathe. Something felt off in the air, like danger was coming but I don't know who it is going after....what it is. But I don't like it. I smile when I see them come home but then I tense up when I see Kagome's side glow. "It...is back..." I stand up and jump infront of Kagome making her jump in surprise. "Hello Kagome. Welcome home. How was your day, anything weird happen?" She stares at me then giggles "No Yukio nothing weird happened today." I sigh softly and nod "that's good. " a few minutes later I see the cat run into the sacred shrine and Sota running after the cat, I walk in there as well even though it is supposed to keep demons out or in. Kagome came in as well but I felt another demon in here, making me tense up again. "Sota, Kagome get out of here...now!" Sota ran out but when Kagome turned to leave an arm grabbed her and pulled her into the well. "Yukio!" She screamed in pure fear making me jump in and grab the demon by the throat as I try to help Kagome. "KAGOME!" She screamed and a light shot out of her hand, hitting me and the other demon. The demon left but I was curled up on the ground with Kagome in my arms. "Kagome...and you okay dear..?" She looks at me with fear in her eyes as she sees blood pouring down my face, I cough and smile weakly at her. "I'm okay...let's get out of here."
