In all the silence, Jeongin just stood in one of the bookstore's station unbothered. In front of him was hung various packed pens and other school supplies, along with other art tools on the lower rack.
He eyed everything there, mostly was just looking for new pens since that's what he was here for. No, maybe that's not it. Honestly, he really just liked to go to bookstores.
The atmosphere there was always great. The smell of new books that kept on meeting the tip of his nose seemed to be the favourite thing for him to seek. Not to mention the relaxing music background that was undulating softly. It was the best place, for him at least.
"Did you hear about that sneaky Jisung?"
Later on, Felix's voice came knocking his thoughts off his head. He glanced towards the talking boy who was besides him checking out some notebooks in his hand.
With his hand still busy rummaging through the writing products, Jeongin shrugged. "You didn't see Minho's IG post yesterday?" He asked.
Leisurely, Jeongin hummed softly with a slight smile. "Minho? I don't follow him, and his account is private" he explained while his head swayed to the background music in the store while Felix just had his eyes on him.
"Why not?"
"Why should i?" Felix looked at him with a bored look, an 'i'm so done with this guy' phrase was written all over his face.
"So what? They are dating?"
"Yep"
A very faint 'oh' left Jeongin's lips the moment he heard the answer. Though, he didn't look surprise in the slightest, instead he looked like someone who had his expectations came true.
"Well? that's great news" he said with a shrug.
"Really? Seriously? That was like the most passive reaction to a friend getting his ass owned"
Felix commented unsatisfied, burying his face in the freshly printed novel he picked up randomly, sniffing it aggressively before then picking up the scent of emitted chemicals.
"What do you want me to say? I already knew their bond will definitely be a thing"
The other latter said as his legs walked a little further to the right side, which even had more art supplies than any other stuffs. Jeongin cooed, he wasn't going to buy anything from the section but all of the tools were just so satisfying to stare at.
"He's now taken and as a single lamb, I'm feeling left out"
Felix sighed only to earn some soft chuckles from Jeongin on his side. His right hand was unrestrained from checking out every single things there on the first column of the trail.
"Don't leave me behind! I'm still as single as you are" he said without looking at the boy, small titters remained insignificantly at the edge of his lips that still curved a smile.
Felix clicked his tongue, proceeded to pursue a pout and mumbled; "not for long though" in a low volume of voice, but it was loud enough for Jeongin to hear, luckily.
Hearing those words, one of Jeongin's eyebrows arched to the higher angle around the forehead. Not that he cared though, he knew that whatever could that mean would just be something he'll get to be teased about.
"I don't even wanna know what's that supposed to mean"
"Yup, because you figured it out already"
Jeongin sucked the inner side of his left cheek that only got burnt on the outside. "Lix..just hush if you are aware" he muttered lowly while Felix just laughed at him.
Of course he knew what he was talking about. He heaved out a sigh under his breath, it has been a while since he last made any contact with Hyunjin. Like three days?
To be honest, he kind of distanced himself away from the male just because he has now had a strong hunch that Hyunjin could be the guy that writes to him. Obviously, it's him. He's not doubting anymore. But he's still unsure.
He didn't even know why he's trying to get away from him. Maybe he's embarrassed, shy or slash and- overwhelmed.
These past few days, he has to admit that he, too has discovered a tingly feeling in his stomach for the guy.
'i wonder what he's doing right now..'
He sighed at his own thought as he proceeded his hand to fly out to the above only to pick up the packed brushes because he found it cute, not going to use it in a way.
But then, his hand then bumped into someone else's out of the blue causing him to retreat his hand back.
"Uh, sorry"
The voice simply said in a timid tone, probably didn't really like to talk to socially as it sounded. Meanwhile, Jeongin quickly frowned his eyebrows when he thought the voice was way too familiar for his eardrums.
He slowly turned his head to his right just to get the tall figure who was about to walk off to somewhere else to be in his sight.
Despite him being shocked to see him here, he eventually encouraged himself to call him out in a soft voice.
"U-um wait, Hyunjin hyung, hi"
