"You know what, i still have some times. You can go ahead without me"

He said and sat his bum down on the bench without any hesitation, sitting right next to Hyunjin who just cleared his throat. He was nervous, clearly. Sitting right next to his crush was the very first thing he'd ever want and now it has come true. But he still wished this didn't happen because he was kind of aware of how awkward he is when it comes to making conversation. Well shit.

Watching the boy waving his hand at his friend that was walking away outside the court, Hyunjin pressed his lips together for once. "why didn't you go with him?" He asked him, pulling his attention to be on him now.

Jeongin let out a soft hum that sounded like a question. "I don't know. Am i a bother for you right now?" That didn't really answer his question but guess he could take it. He shook his head left to right.

"No, not really"

He replied, simply. Jeongin just smiled at the answer and took his eyes off him to look at the front though there was nothing he could watch other than the other players goofing around with each other.

"Basketball looks fun" he started creating up a conversation. Really, he couldn't stand the silence they had to bear for long so he just hoped Hyunjin would at least talk with this being the first topic. "Oh, not really, to me at least. I don't quite enjoy it entirely" Hyunjin commented on his statement with light chuckles in the end of his words.

"What's your position?" The other boy asked, swinging his legs in the thin air under the bench.

"Well...I'm pretty much the ace" he said and caused Jeongin to chortle lightly at him which just something he was confused about. Nevertheless, he just laughed along with him, lacking tact. "what?" He asked the younger with a smile, starting to feel embarrassed for some reason.

"Nothing. For someone that 'doesn't like' the sport and ended up being an ace..it doesn't add up for me, really" Jeongin quoted on quote his words as he spoke and Hyunjin just forced a husky hummed.

"Maybe i just hate doing practices" he added, scratching the back of his head.

Jeongin just nodded his head casually. "I can relate" he said and eventually shared some laughs together.

In the end, they spent some of their times talking to each other on the spot about various topics, such as how curious Jeongin was about the other latter, and how much Hyunjin could learn more things about Jeongin as well.

The more they talked, the more things Jeongin could notice about the male. It sort of changed some perspective on how he sees the older from back when he used to just take everything from the rumours.

To him, Hyunjin wasn't any close to rude or cold. At least that's how it was for him, the older treated him well for his experience.

But not to lie, the smaller boy had to admit that he wasn't the type to smile much. Maybe he's just not too comfortable with him yet, that's what he thought. Even so, Jeongin just kept his smile on no matter what. It doesn't matter if all his smiles won't get any reply.

"By the way, i have never seen you around here, in this court before. So why today?" The question asked was just enough to disturb Jeongin's thoughts from dwelling well in his head. He lit up his head to answer immediately.

"Oh, yes. I was supposed to check up on a certain someone here but i don't know, he's not here i think"

He answered truthfully with a hopeless light smile, almost making him to look a little upset actually. As for Hyunjin, he just cleared his throat in slight displease the moment when the word 'certain someone' came pierced through his ears.

"Certain someone? Who is it? Maybe i can help find him for you or something, if you want" he put his focus on the boy, interested but also wasn't happy with the idea.

He soon watched Jeongin shook his head flustered with an uncontrollable smile.

"No it's fine. I don't even know who he is, weird i know..we just talk in sticky notes after all"

'oh. That's me'

"He should've listed more hints, these two hints don't help. He's mean"

Jeongin mumbled under his breath, one sigh was heaved making his two cheeks to puff up for some seconds. Clearly the mutter was inaudible and waseant for only him to hear but if we're talking about their distance, Hyunjin could catch up some words.

"Yeah..guess i'm pretty mean"

He blurted put in a soft voice, looking away from the boy this time only to see that Minho already had his arm in up in the air, waving the hand towards him. It was a sign that their break was over and he probably should go back in with the team.

"Sorry, what?"

Jeongin let out in full confusion but too bad for him, Hyunjin already got off the bench and was ready to run from the place. But before he wanted to do that, he landed his right palm on the younger boy's head and stroked his hair once

"Nothing. You should head back home, it's getting late"

With that, he began running back to the other players. Leaving Jeongin who was still confused with the second last word he heard from him. "...but you.." For sure, he himself didn't know how to finish that sentences of his.

The next thing he know was that he found himself just smiling hopelessly with his left hand touching his own locks that was messy because of Hyunjin's rush but yet gentle grasp just now.

"He's weird, in a good way"
