Just then we started hearing the bushes rustling to the right of where I was sitting with Alison standing in front trying to convince me to go home and finally after the noise got closer out of the bushes walked.............................................
~Chapter 9~
The guys, all five, dressed in only cut-offs looking like Greek Gods walking toward me
and Ali. But Cain took one look at Ali and froze, a look of awe crossing his face. Shane looked back and cursed under his breath, the only one's to hear him were the guys, except Cain who was still staring at Ali like a man seeing the sun for the first time.
"Hey what are you girl's doing out here all alone?????" Asked Zane.
"Nothing I just wanted to show the clearing to my cousin Ali." I answered.
"Well you little ladies can't be out here alone without big strong men to protect you."
"Big strong men?? I only see ONE strong MAN. And a few little boys." I said back jokingly
"I know I'm the only strong man you see!" Said Caleb smugly.
"What are you talking about?? I was talking about Shane not you." I said laughing at the look of shock on his face.
Ali and Cain were finally broken out of their trance when Shane, Aaron, Zaide and me started laughing.
Caleb was pouting looking like someone had killed his puppy.
"Ahhhhh Caleb stop looking like at me like that." I said smirking.
" You were joking right?? I'm a big strong man?" He asked pathetically.
"No I really wasn't." I said seriously. "Oh sorry Ali I totally forgot to introduce you. The tall one there is Shane, then there's Aaron, then there's the twins Caleb and Cain and finally the youngest Zaide."
Ali finally realized she had been staring at Cain for the last ten minutes and looked down at her feet and blushed. Mumbling a small hi.
"What brings you girls out here?" Asked Shane.
"Oh um well I wanted to show Ali this place." I said not wanting to tell them we
were out looking for the wolf.
The guys finally walked up to us Cain going to stand beside Ali and Caleb and Zaide coming to sit beside me on the rock with Aaron behind me and Shane standing off to the side. I could tell he found this awkward.
"So what are you doing here Ali?" Asked Cain.
"I'm here for Ash she was scared so I came to help her." she answered.
"Are you related to Ash?" Asked Zaide.
"Yup the best of cousins." I answered.
We talked for about another hour just asking all sorts of questions about each other. Me and Caleb kept stealing glances at each other, Aaron having moved down the rock now had me sitting in between his legs with his arms around my waste keeping me from getting cold. Ali was sitting in Cain's lap looking very warm and comfortable.
"Well we had better get going before it gets cold. I'll see you guys on Monday." I said getting out of Aaron's arms and starting to go up the trail with Ali following beside me.........
