chapter 6

(Sal's POV)

I wake up, my eye scans of my surroundings.

'Where am I again?'

I turn to my left to see larry, he looks so peaceful and calm. I sit up and reach over to grab my phone from the bedside table.
I turn in my phone.

5 missed calls.
15 messages.
All from..

"Who's those from?"

I turn around to see larry sat up against the bed frame still waking up.

"They are from my dad."

I hear larry sigh.

"Want me to read them for you."

"Um.. sure.."

"Give."

I unlock my phone and go into messages. I can already see the first few messages.

^SAL? SAL GET YOUR ASS HOME!^

^SAL WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!^

^ONCE YOU GET HOME I'M GOING TO-^

As I was reading the message larry grabs the phone out of my hand.

"I don't want you to get upset."

"It's Fine."

I lay back down and cuddle up to larry. I look up and see his face, filled with anger.

"There that bad."

"Yep"

"You going to continue reading them?"

"Yep"

He turns off my phone and hands it to me.
He sighs once again and face palms.

"I fucking hate your dad."

"I know."

"Don't worry I'll protect you from him.."

"Thank you baby.."

"Anything for you blue."

He scoots down and he hold me in his arms and kisses my forhead.

"I love you."

"I love you too"

(Time Skip)

I set out of larry's car and make my way into work with him by my side.

"Imma go sit down."

"Ok I'll make sure to get that coffee."

"Thank you."

I walk over to the counter and make my way to the back.

"Sooo how was it with you too?"

I turn to see both ash and todd.

"We're dating believe it or not"

"FUCK YEAH! NEIL YOU OWE ME 5 DOLLARS!"

"Neil?"

"Yeah, we made a bet."

"Ash made a bet with my boyfriend to see how long it would take for you and that guy to get together."

"Really ash."

"What it was a good bet."

"Anyways I need that coffee."

"Theres one right there take it"

I take the coffee and make my way over to larry.

I take a seat and place the coffee on the table.

"So I have to go home today."

"No your not. Your staying with me."

"Lar I would love to but I can't. I have to go home eventually."

"Yeah but I know something you don't know."

"Tell me.."

"No."

"I'll just look at the messages."

"Sal please.. just. Let me finish my class today and I'll come home with you. It's Friday."

"So?"

"I don't have classes on the weekend."

I sigh.

'Should I. . He seems worried.'

"Fine."

"Thank you."

"Now drink your coffee."

I get up and go back to the counter once again..

(Some time pasts)

"ONE COFFEE AND CINNAMON SWIRL!"

I feel my phone vibrate.

"Ash I'll be back I'm getting a call."

"Oh ok."

I stand outside and look at my phone to see my dad calling me.

I awnser.

"Hello?."

"SAL? WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? WHY DIDN'T YOU RESPOND TO ANY OF MY CALLS YESTERDAY!"

"I'm at work dad... And yesterday I was with a friend."

"A FRIEND? YOU DON'T HAVE FRIENDS WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND. I DON'T CARE IF YOUR WORKING OR NOT. GET YOUR ASS HOME NOW! OR I'LL BEAT YOU EVEN MORE THAN I PLAN TO!"

He hung up after that.

I sit on the stair and I start crying my eyes out.

I don't want to go home..

^Larry can you come outside and behind the building please^

^sure is that where you are?^

^yes.^

I turn off my phone and wait for larry to come outside..

"SAL!"

"Larry, h-he called me. He said that- that.."

He pulls me into a hug.

"Shh it's ok. It's ok. I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you."

"I-im scared."

"I'll protect you from him."

"Promise?"

"I promise Baby Blue."
