Sapphire woke up in her emerald bedroom at Malfoy Manor. She scanned the room and her gaze landed on an old Grandfather clock. The time said 10 am. She rose from her bed and put on a simple long sleeved black dress with flats. The door opened and Cissy walked in. "Morning, my lady. Time to go wand shopping." With that she followed her out. Sapphire was home schooled for her first year but insisted on going to Hogwarts this year. It was also Draco's first year. Sapphire had been the Malfoy's secret for years but finally the world was ready for her.

She walked into Olivanders and scanned the dusty shop. Her eyes landed on an elderly man that was studying her. "And what is your name, Ms?" He asked. Sapphire smirked. "Sapphire Gaunt Riddle." The man took a step away. "Thats impossible." He breathed. She rolled her eyes. "I just need a wand." She huffed. He shook his head and turned to the stacks of wands. He picked up one and brought it over to her. She took it but it zapped her. She dropped it as she clutched she hand. Sapphire growled slightly but took a deep breath to calm herself. He brought her another. She took it but it made a hissing sound as it shattered. She let go of the wood pieces. Sapphire sighed. He brought her a wand that caught her eye. It was a long ebony wand. She took it and it shot black sparks out the tip. He took the wand from her and wrapped it up. "The core is essance of Dementor, perfect in all aspects of magic... even dark arts." He mumbled the last bit. Sapphire huffed impatiently and paid for it, leaving his shop and the strange man behind her. Sapphire knew who her father was and she was proud of him.

Sapphire walked beside Draco as they came to stand at the top of the stairs at Hogwarts. So far she didn't get what the deal was about a fancy old castle. An old women in emerald robes and a pointed hat stood there. Her eyes landed on her. "If you would come with me dear." Sapphire nodded and followed her into a room that had four tables full of students and a table at the front for teachers. Her eyes scaned the table but only two men sparked her intreast. They were also staring at her with intreast. She stood before a stood. The lady unrolled a scroll and smiled as she started to read. "Sapphire R-" her smile faded as she look down at her and met her inteance gaze. She turned to an elderly man and whispered something. He nodded and she turned back to Sapphire. "Sapphire Riddle." She called. Sapphire smiled coily as she walked toward the stool and sat down. She was looking down but her eyes rose as the hat barly touched her head before shouting Slytherin. The far table to the right cheered and she stood up. Sapphire walked to the table with grace and poise. She sat down and lifted her goblet to her lips but took a sniff first. She smirked and took a sip. She haden't realized the first years were being called until she heard the lady call "Harry Potter." She lowered her cup as her eyes rose to land on a boy with jet black shaggy hair, glasses, and a lightning bolt. She sat up a bit straighter as she studied him. He was a thin little thing with green eyes. He sat down on the stool and started muttering something. "Gryffindor!" The hat shouted. Sapphire rolled her eyes as the Gryffindor table exploded. An old man stood. "Let the feast... begin!" He said and food magicly appeared on her plate but she didn't touch it as she stared over at the Potter boy. 'So this is the famous boy that killed MY father? Pathetic.' She thought. She looked over at the teachers table and saw a man in a turban was watching her with a distant look but a small smile. Sapphire smirked and her eyes lowered to the goblet he was holding. The liquid flew up like a fountain and landed on the man next to him. He stood up in rage as he looked around to see whom could have done it. Sapphire let a snicker pass her lips as she took a sip from her goblet. "Arn't you going to eat, my Lady?" She heard Draco whisper. She looked to him with distain. "Of course not." She scoffed.

The next day, she sat in Potions class with Gryffindors. The door slamed open and hit the wall behind it. "There'll be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class." The man said as he walked in and stood by his desk. She smirked. That was the man from the feast last night. She snuck out of the room. Sapphire had a nack for skipping classes even at home.

She stood on the pitch with a broom in front of her as Madam Hooch went over the rules. "Up." She said and it shot up into her hand. She held it bordly. She looked at Potter's  broom and moved her fingers, discreetly casting a confundance spell on it. It back fired though when he traded brooms with Longbottom. The boy mounted it and flew around while not having any control. She stood in her spot as he fell 3 feet to the ground when his broom threw him off while soaring to the ground. The other students went to help but Sapphire stayed where she was. Madam hooch took Longbottom to the hospital wing and everyone else walked back to where Sapphire was standing. Draco picked up a round clear ball. The Potter boy stepped forward. Sapphire moved behind Draco. Potter looked at her and clutched his scar. She looked him dead in the eye as she lowered her lips to Draco's ear. "Knock him off his broom but make it look like an accident." She hissed and stood up straight. Draco mounted his broom amd took off but her eyes were still on Potter. She chuckled bitterly. "Better go catch your friend's ball." He glared at her and mounted his broom, taking off after Draco. "What did you tell Draco Malfoy?!" Demanded a girl with bushy hair and buck teeth. Sapphire's eyes landed on her and the young girl gulped. "Don't speak to me, mudblood." Sapphire then mounted her broom and took off. She flew to the roof and dismounted the old broom. She turned and stood there on the ledge, watching her pawn being chased by Potter. Thats all the Malfoy boy was to her... her pawn that was eager to please his master. She watched Draco throw the ball and Potter went after it. She held her hands behind her back as she felt her excitement grow. He spun on his broom and stopped before he crashed into a window as he had caught the ball. 'Interesting...' she thought. The wind blew around her gently causing her hair and robes to billow. Potter looked toward her with a determined gaze. She cocked her head and smiled softly. She then jumped. She fell toward the ground but placed the broom between her legs. She flew over to the group and dismounted when she touch the ground. She dropped her broom and eyed Potter who had just touched down. A small smile spread on her lips. She nodded her head to him and locked her hands together behind her back as she walked toward the castle.

She was wondering when she came to the third floor. An amused smile twitched on her lips as she walked threw the door. Everything was covered in dust and cobwebs. She continued walking until she came to a door. She opened it and there laid a massive dog with three heads. She smiled softly as she watched them snore. There came a creak from down the hall and the dog stired. It yawned and got up. One of the heads started growling and snarling at her. She raised put her wand away. "Oh, I'm scared to see the ending. Why are we pretending? This is nothing. I'll tell you I miss you but I don't know how. I've never heard silence quiet this loud," She sang and they laid back down. "Now I'm standing alone in a quiet room and we're not speaking. I'm dying to know is it killing you, like its killing me yeah," the dog yawned as she walked closer to it. She put her hand out and softly petted one of the heads. "I don't know what to say, its a twist of fate when it all broke down. The story of us looks alot like a tragidy now." The dog nuzzled its head into her hand and she peted another head with her other hand. One moved it's paw and she saw a trap door. She scoffed softly. "Some gaurd dog." She turned toward the door and left, shuttin it quietly behind her. She took a few steps but froze upon seeing the man with the turban. He looked at her then to the door behind her. "You went in and came out untouched... how?" He asked. "My daughter..." came a wheezing voice. The man turned smiled. "You remind me of your father." He mused. That caught her attention. A smile spread on her delicate lips. "I plan on making him proud by slaughtering Potter." The man grinned. "You already have." He said. I followed him out but we were stopped by professor Snape. He raised an eyebrow. "What... were you two doing?" He asked looking at professor Quirlle with suspicion. "I got turned around and lost, Professor Quirll was helping me back to the Great Hall." She lied easily. Snape looked down at her with high suspicion. He nodded and moved out of the way. "Good boy." She said with an underlyin challenge. Snape glared at her but said nothing. Professor Quirlle escorted her to her common room where they parted.

Sapphire laid in her bed with her wand firmly in her hand. She didn't trust this school or the people in it for that matter. She was the wild card.
