Sapphire had spent the rest of the summer in depression. She needed her father and was frusterated that he was so close yet so far. She pushed herself everyday when she trained to the point of collaping. She was doing near death things and craving more after. She hadn't seen Snape ever since the day in the woods at the beginning of summer. She had become colder than usual and even Lucius was becoming worried. He tried asking her one day but ended up being tortured. She was 14 years old and didn't need Lucius to ask about her well being.
Sapphire laid on the forest floor staring up at the clouds as she got control over her breathing. "Sapphire Riddle?" Came a hiss. Sapphire looked to see a large python. "It dependsss, whosss asssking?" The snake hissed in a laugh sort of way. "You are like your father. I have come to fetch you." Sapphire got to her feet. "Take me." The snake nodded and rapped around her. "Riddle!" She heard Snape call just as she was apperated away.
They landed in a room and there in the chair, sat a skelital-fetus like Voldemort. The snake got off her as she walked over and bowed at his chair. "I have missed you, father." She felt his hand caress her hair. "I have missed... you more, my... child." He wheezed. She saw Peter in the cornor as he stood. "You have done well, Wormtail." He bowed. "I have... a request for... you this year, my daughter." She looked back at her father. "You are to stay with me this year and substain me." She nodded and bowed. "Sapphire." She down at him expectingly. "You have grown... into a beautiful... resourceful... independant women... that I am.. proud to call... my daughter." Sapphire beamed and bowed. "I will not fail you, Father." She begain to heal him.
It was the end of the year she sat against a tomb stone as Potter entered the graveyard with Cedric Diggory. They got up and looked around. Potter's eyes landed on hers and hardened. She smirked weakly as shenclung to the tomb stone. "So this is where you've been?!" She nodded and the door opened. "AVADA KADAVRA!" Wormtail shouted and Diggory dropped dead. Sapphire watched as she was building up her strength. She ignited her hand walked over the cauldron. She set the fire ablaze as Wormtail animated a statue to hold, Potter. Her hand went out. She sunk to her knees. Wormtail walked to her while carrying her father. "You have done so well, we're almost there, my daughter." She nodded and pushed herself to her feet. "Imperio!" Wormtail casted over her. He dropped Voldemort into the cauldron as she walked to Potter with a dagger. "Sapphire, snap out of it! You must know this is wrong!" Potter shouted. She cut his forearm and took a few drops of his blood. She walked back to the cauldron and let the blood run off the knife. The spell was lifted off her and she almost collapsed. "The last ingrediant, my Lady." Sapphire stepped back as Potter watched her. Her hands ignited and she shot fire at the cauldron until it melted. She stumbled back and gripped a tomb stone. She slipped to the ground and passed out as Potter screamed her name.
She awoke to Death Eaters arriving. Sapphire got to her feet and felt much better. She ran up and wrapped her arms around her father. He hugged her back and stroked her hair. She pulled away. "Not one of you tried to find me! Not even you, Lucius." Voldemort ripped the mask from Lucius' face. She watched him. "I assure you, my Lord. I have never renounced the old ways and I did well to teach your daughter them." Voldemort glanced at Sapphire then turned back to him. "You did quiet well, friend. For that I shall reward you but for now..." He turned to Sapphire. "You get the pleasure of killing Harry Potter." A sinister grin krept up on her face. "My pleasure, Father." She handed him her wand and turned to see Potter struggle. She let him down and he hit the ground hard. "I have waited a long time for this moment, Potter." She moved toward him. "Your good, Sapphire! I know you are, you've saved me lots of times." She laughed. It was cold and left chills in the air. "I have been saving you for the proper time to kill you and I wasn't protecting you from the werewolf. I was protecting my most important pawn." She had to keep Snape's cover. "Snape doesn't even know that I've been playing him!" Potter got on his knees. "Then do it! We both know I don't stand a chance against you anyway." That seemed to stun her. He haden't been through enough pain. Her eyes flickered to the cup amd back to him. He seemed to get it. He ran and she felt the torture curse hit her. She breathed threw it, refusing to go to her knees. Potter reached the dead Diggory and she ran after him when the spell ended. He grabbed her and they ported out.
