"Cookie no, please," Jack begged, trying to stop his friend. He had tried to hide the aftermath of today's Showdown from her, but she had come home earlier than expected while his Med boy was bandaging the worst of his injuries.

"I just want to talk."

She had been repeating that same sentence like a mantra since leaving the house. No amount of effort on Jack's part could convince the other to drop the issue. Her loyalty knew no bounds and he was grateful for that, but also...

"They won't listen and to be a bit honest...it's a bit embarrassing."

"I just want to talk."

"Please, please let's just go home and forget this ever happened. We can put on a movie, and make snacks. Just have an us day. What do you say?" Jack offers, trying to change her mind once again.

"Sure, Jackie. Sounds great...after our talk." Rajah says, continuing to walk up the many stone steps leading to the Xiolain temple, with purpose in each stride.

This had gone on long enough and she would ensure that it stopped here and now. Black Western high-heeled boots studded in gold accents jingle and click against stone tiles as she walks past the entrance of the temple and continues on through the main courtyard.

Jack was close behind, though very hesitant and skittish. His flight instinct was blaring like a siren, but his devotion to Rajah stopped him from running away. He didn't want her getting hurt or involved in all this. This was his burden to deal with, not hers.

"Cookie, please let Ju-"

"Intruders!"

In a show of quick movement and acrobatics, Rajah and Jack soon found themselves surrounded by four young monks. The reason why they were here in the first place.

"Not another step unless you want trouble." Clay, the elemental dragon of earth, born Texan, and all-around cowboy yelled out.

Omi, the elemental dragon of water, cute as a button, but terrible at slang spoke next. "Speak your business. Why have you come here?"

They were posed waiting, ready to strike unless their questions were answered. Questions that Rajah had no intention of answering.

Hiding behind the taller teen, Jack peeks out to confront them. "We don't have to explain ourselves to you losers!"

"Jack Spicer. Of course, it's you. Didn't we beat you already today? Guess you haven't had enough."The de facto leader, Rai, the elemental dragon of wind looks Rajah up and down. "Who's this? A new lackey?"

"That's none of your business!" Jack shouted back. This was what he feared would happen. They were stuck, the monks were being hot-headed and this could only end badly.

"Jackie, stay close to me."

A confused "huh" was all Jack got out before she tightened her hold on him and began walking again.

"What the, hey?!" Rai tripped over his words as he was blatantly ignored.

Rajah was not bothering with them. They were just children, children who would not listen. No. She wasn't here for them.

"Look, lady, I don't know who you are but-"

Ignored. All of their protests fell on deaf ears. Rajah was not stopping. They could run their mouths till they were blue in the face, she kept on walking.

"Save it, Rai. I got this. You asked for it!" Kimiko, the elemental dragon of fire, has a temper that rivals a hornet and leaps into action towards the pair.

"Cookie, look out!" Jack called out but there was little he could do.

The tall brunette felt when the swift punch connected with her stomach. A weaker soul would be doubled over in pain, probably throwing up their lunch. Rajah on the other hand still stood unmoved, seeming unbothered by the blatant assault.

"What?" Kimiko stammered, surprised that that seemed to do..nothing?

A single chestnut Iris stared down at the pigtailed monk who attacked her, raising a brow in question. "y'all done? Good."

Kimiko was pushed out of the way as Rajah Continued walking. A bruise would definitely form but that was a matter to be dealt with later.

"..Cookie?"

The tone in Jack's voice was that of worry. Rajah simply gave the redhead a comforting squeeze of his hand. "I'm alright, snow monkey. Come on, we're almost there."

The sliding doors to the main temple building were opened and shoes were taken off respectively before entering. Further and further Rajah leads them into the building, through many doorways until finally stopping at another set of sliding doors. In the distance, the monks are tripping over themselves trying to catch up with them.

"I don't get it. I thought you said you wanted to talk to the monks, why go into this place?"

"They're just kids, Jack. Kids who will not listen to reason, especially from someone they don't know." Rajah says while knocking on the wooden door. "So you have to talk to someone they will listen to."

Jack was speechless at the realization. It wasn't the monks she had planned to confront, because why would she? Rajah was practically an adult compared to the other preteens. Adults don't waste time talking to children, they talk to other adults.

"Enter"

Seated in the middle of the room is an older gentleman dressed in blue robes, enjoying a fresh cup of tea.

"Forgive the sudden intrusion, but are you by chance the proprietor of this temple and by extension grandmaster of those young monks?"

"Why yes. I am Master Fung. Who might  you be Miss?"

"My apologies Master Fung. I'm Rajah M. Bijou and if you have time, I'd like to have a word with you about your students."
