"So, Eijiro."
Roku had a firm grip on Kiri's shoulder.

Kirishima's breath stopped, your father had always been intimidating but now Kiri was dating you. Kiri looked in front of him and into the kitchen, seeing you happy and smiling with your mother. Seeing your smile and hearing your laughter was all that he needed to release the breath he was holding.

He looked up at your father who continued to talk.
"Y/N tells me that you two have started dating?"
Kiri nodded in response.
"Well it's about damn time!"
He smiled down at Kiri.
"I never did like that Kaminari boy, and I know you'll do right by her."

Kirishima looked away from your father, once again looking at you in your kitchen and smiling.
"I absolutely will."

Roku smiled and patted Kiri's shoulder.
"Go on boy, I'll take the bags up."

"Thank you Roku!"
Kiri smiled his usual big grin and then headed towards you.

"Hey!"
You smiled at him and gently kissed his cheek, making him blush.

"Hey!"
He smiled back and your mother smiled too.

"It's nice to see you both happy."
Vivian smiled as you and Kiri linked hands.
"Well, dinner is almost ready so why don't you two set the table while I finish up?"

You nodded and headed to the cupboards to get out the plates and cutlery to set up. It didn't take long to set the table, and once you'd finished you felt something soft rub against your leg.

"Kai!"
You exclaimed joyfully and picked up your fluffy pet cat.

"I haven't seen him in ages!"
Kirishima grinned and petted the cat in your arms, who started to happily purr.

Kai rubbed his face against Kiri's hand and once you saw the huge, happy grin on his face your heart jumped. You could see the pure, unfiltered happiness in his face as he fussed over your cat. It made you realise just how much you actually cared for him, and made you question yourself as to why you waited so long for him when he was right there the whole time.

"Dinner's ready!"
Vivian called from the kitchen and you let Kai down.

"He's gotten big."
Kiri smiled.

"Dad spoils him."
You smiled back at Kiri.

......

You'd forgotten how much you'd missed your mother's cooking. There was quite a lot of small talk during dinner, but it was just the basic things. You were asked about how school was going and how your quirk was improving. Kirishima was asked the same things too, ever since you were kids your parents have treated him like he was a member of the family.

After you'd all finished dinner, Kiri offered to help your mother wash up and wouldn't take no for an answer. While they were in the kitchen, you were relaxing on the couch with Kai in your lap while your father was watching the TV.

"You didn't have to wash up Eijiro, you're a guest here."
Vivian smiled at him.

"I know, but I wanted to help."
Kiri smiled back while putting a plate on the drying rack.
"Your cooking is always amazing Vivian, it's polite to help you wash up."

"You always were such a well-mannered boy."
Vivian smiled as she dried off a plate and put it in the cupboard.

"It's the manly thing to do."
He grinned cheerfully and it made Vivian laugh.

"How is Y/N doing, truthfully?"

"She's doing great and her quirk has really improved."
He smiled.
"She actually learned how to use multiple elements at once, and even hardened her body in rock!"
He had a prideful grin across his face.
"She said she used my quirk as a basis for it actually."

"I'm sure she did."

Back in the living room, Kai had curled up in your lap which made you smile. You missed him when you were away at UA.

"He's missed you."
Roku smiled at you.

"I know, I've missed him too."
You smiled back.

Roku returned his attention to the TV, and after a few more moments Vivian and Kirishima made their way to sit with you and Roku.

......

You'd spent most of the night just relaxing around your parents and enjoying the company of a cat on your lap with Kiri at your side. You'd all stayed up quite late, it wasn't often you got a chance to come home, so by the time you went to bed you were already extremely tired.

"Your room hasn't changed much."
Kiri smiled as he looked around at the posters on your wall.

"Well, neither have I really."
You closed the door and headed to your bag.

You were about to pull out something to sleep in, until Kiri handed you one of his shirts with a big grin.
"You didn't think I'd forget, did you?"

"Of course not."
You smiled and reached up to gently kiss his lips.

You both got changed and slipped under the covers, he laid on his back and wrapped an arm around you to pull you into his chest. You were comfortable and soothed by his warm skin and the sound of his beating heart.

"I'm glad your dad likes me."

"You're impossible not to like Eijiro."

He rubbed your back and kissed the top of your head before you both drifted off to sleep.

......

You spent the entirety of Christmas Day and Boxing Day with your parents. You were happy to have a break just to spend with them and not have any drama going on.

As for gifts, you'd given your mother her favourite perfume and your father the box set for his favourite TV show. They'd mostly given you clothes and some fluffy blankets. Kiri however had gotten you some animal plushies and a small, beautiful necklace with a Pebble shaped pendant on it.

He'd also gotten some jewelry for your mother and and some graphic tees for your father, which Roku had found hilarious. Your parents bought him some new tank tops and hoodies, as he was always needing some new clothes due to putting on muscle. You'd bought him some assorted headbands and a new pair of his favourite shoes.

You'd all even decided to spoilt Kai, getting him his favourite treats and some new toys which he immediately and excitedly started to play with.

You felt happy, amazingly happy. Your parents liked Kiri, approved of your relationship and were getting on amazingly well. This was definitely one of the best Christmas's you've ever had.
