settling in

~harpers pov~

everything in the house was great. honestly, i loved this house more than my old hose back in canada. i laid on my mattress that arrived about an hour ago and go onto snapchat. i saw that chole was hanging with taylor and layla again today. i sighed and plugged in my phone. i went down the hallway to matteo's room to see what he was doing. he was playing on his nintendo switch. i smiled went back to my room. as soon as i sat down, i heard my mom calling from downstairs;

"harper! can you come down here for a minuet?" i grabbed my phone and trotted downstairs. 

"me and you are going to the neighbor's house to meet the family. lets go". she grabbed my hand and towed me out of the house. we went to our next door neighbors and mom knocked on the door. we were greeted by the lady who was at my house earlier. mom and the lady hugged each other and we were ushered inside. i took my shoes off and went to the living room with mom and the lady. i couldn't help feeling shy because i've never been here before nor did i meet the lady. she offered us to sit on the couch and asked us if we wanted anything to drink. before she left the room, she stopped. 

"THOMAS COME HERE. WE HAVE GUESTS!" she yelled upstairs. i heard mumbling from upstairs then somebody starting to come down. i looked up and seen somebody quite familiar. it was the boy from my dream last night. i was shocked. i thought it was somebody who never existed, but there he was. standing right in front of me. he saw me and gave a small wave. i gave a small wave back then started to text belle.

i smiled down at my phone. belle always was sweet like that. he walked over to be and pointed at the empty spot next to me (btw this was a couch for two people. harper was sitting by herself). 

"hey. do you mind if i sit here?" he asked. i nodded and he sat down next to me. he just looked at me and started to make conversation with me.

"so um what's your name?" he asked. 

"harper. what's yours?"

"harper? that's a pretty name. my name is thomas but you can call me tom". i nodded and tried to think of something to say but couldn't think of anything. 

"it's boring down here. can we go upstairs?" he asked. i nodded and he lead me upstairs into what i assumed was his room. he offered me to sit in the bed and sat down beside me. 

"so what do you do for fun?" he asked me. 

" i like to draw and paint. i also play guitar and piano. what do you do for fun?" i replied. he widened his eyes and covered his face. 

"that's cool! do you promise not to judge me?" i nodded and he cotinued.

"i play minecraft and stream on twitch. i also spend a lot of time talking to my friends," he spoke. i stared at him. he played minecraft? belle liked to talk about that back home. i never played it before though. 

"that's really cool! my best friend from back home talked about minecraft a lot. i never played it before though," i told him. he looked at me and smiled. we talked for another hour and exchanged discords and numbers and then i had to leave. by this point, it was getting pretty late and i was tiered from traveling. i said goodbye and walked home with mom.

i was sitting on my window bench when i heard a knock. i looked all around when i looked straight forwards out of my window and saw tom looking at me from his window and waved at me. i waved back to him and texted him;

tom :) 

hey tom

hello woman

open your window please. i want to talk 
to you

i sighed and opened my window. 

"hi harper! i think you should meet my friends tomorrow over call. i think they'll like you!" he called to me. 

"sure! text me when i can come over," i called back. he gave me a thumbs up. 

"goodnight! see ya tomorrow!" 

"night!" i closed my window and my blinds. i then got ready for bed and went to bed. he was a pretty interesting guy to say the least. 

a/n: hiya guys! hope you enjoyed this chapter. i think i'll write and post the next chapter tonight as well. i'm so happy of how this fanfic is going so far! anyways, like always, drink water and get some rest. luv all you guys <3
