Chapter 2

Sako nipped at Arlo's hand playfully. Arlo jumped a bit.

"Aye! What was that for?" He chuckled. Sako wagged his tail, barking at Arlo and nipping at his arm. Arlo playfully pushed Sako back, Sako sliding backward. He barked at Arlo again, play-bowing at him.

"You wanna play, huh?~" Arlo stood up, his tail wagging playfully. "Come at me then, buddy." Sako attempted to tackle Arlo down, but Arlo stood his ground, holding Sako in his arms.

"Hah! Looks like you- !!!" Arlo started giggling, squirming a bit. "S-sahahako!! That's cheating hahaha!" Sako smirked, continuing to nuzzle and lick Arlo's neck. Arlo fell onto the ground, Sako pinning him and nuzzling his belly. Arlo squirmed and laughed more.

"GAHAHAH!! C-CUT IT OUT SAKO HAHAHA" Sako soon stopped, him snickering and giggling softly. Arlo took a few breaths, then looked at Sako, who was squirming slightly.

"H-huh? What's so f-" He noticed a girl rubbing Sako's sides and giggling softly. "My my, Sako. You haven't changed a bit~"

"A-Aki?!" Arlo blurted out. The girl noticed Arlo on the ground. "Hello, Arlo! I'm glad to see you're doing ok after Sako's little sneak attack."

"Y-yeah hehe.." He got up, hugging Aki. Aki hugged him back.

"How have you been?" Arlo questioned.

"I've been good. How about yourself?"

"I'm good. Same old stuff in the facility."

"No new monsters?" Aki asked, a bit of disappointment in her voice.

"Well, there are a few. But we don't know much about them, and whether they're dangerous or not." Aki's eyes lit up.

"So there are new monsters! I knew it!" She exclaimed happily. Arlo chuckled a bit.

"Yeah yeah. Just... don't get any ideas until we know for sure that the monsters are friendly." Aki nodded, sitting down on the ground. Sako came over to her, laying down in her lap.

"Aww. I missed you big guy." She started petting Sako's underbelly, Sako squirming and making laughing noises similar to a fox. Arlo sat next to Aki.

"It's nice up here, isn't it? Out of all the places in the facility, this is my favorite place. You can just come up here and relax." He sighed happily, resting his head on Aki's shoulder. Aki blushed a bit.

"I have to agree with you. This is a nice pl-" She paused, then started giggling. Arlo cocked his head.

"What's so funny?"

"Y-your tail is tickling me a bit hehe." Arlo looked down at Aki's side, his tail was wagging against her.

"Ticklish much?~" He teased.

"Y-yehehes!" She playfully punched Arlo in the arm.

"Oh! You wanna act THAT way, huh? Well, I have the perfect punishment for kids like you who like playing rough~" He looked at Sako, Sako nodding in agreement.

"?? Wh-whats the punishment?" She asked, nervous but excited for it. Arlo pulled her into a hug, gently digging his robotic fingers into her stomach. She laughed a bit, squirming slightly in his grip.

"Aww~ What's the matter~ Too sensitive for a little play?~" Arlo taunted.

"PFFFF HAHAHA!!"

"I'll take that as a yes."

He continued to tickle her for several minutes, Sako even getting in some turns. They both eventually stopped, Aki panting.

"W-was that necessary?" Aki giggled, Arlo blushing a bit.

"Y-yeah hehe. Sorry about that..."

"It's fine, Arlo. Besides, I was feeling a bit tight." She went silent for a minute.

"Its ok to tell me you know..." Arlo said, rubbing her back. "I guess I should tell you..." Aki whispered. "I should tell you what really happened to my parents..."
