Adrien/ Chat Noir's P.O.VMy bed was stiff as I woke up to Natalie knocking harshly on my door. I did have a soft spot for Natalie, she has saved me from Father countless times.
"Time for school, Adrien. You will be expected at breakfast in fifteen minutes." Her voice was dull. Adrien nodded in reply.
I was replaying the events of last night over and over again in his head. Why did Marinette get so angry with me? It was just an accident. There was something going on with Marinette and I was determined to figure it out.
I rushed through getting ready and looked at the measly portion that was his breakfast.
"What is this, Natalie?" I tried not to grimace down at the small cup of unknown greenish yellow substance.
"It is pure vegetable juice with apple cider vinegar. It provides you with all of the nutrients you need. Drink it and leave." Natalie was never one for small talk.
I swished around the contents of the cup. It was runny with chunks floating in it. Not exactly my ideal breakfast.
I bent down and took a whiff of the vomit like breakfast drink. The smell of rotten eggs and a burning sensation greeted my nose. If I wasn't awake before, I definitely am now.
I finally decided that plugging my nose and just pouring the whole thing down my throat would be the best option.
I regretted all of my life choices as that vile piss from hell slid over my tongue and down the hatch. I have never suffered through anything that bad in my life, and I'm Chat Noir.
I choked down actual vomit as Gorilla drove me to school.
"You stink." Plagg peeked out of my shirt pocket and wrinkled his nose.
"Thanks, Plagg. It's not like I don't already stink from your copious amounts of camembert. " I sighed, that stupid breakfast drink.
"My camembert smells heavenly. Like a dream." Plagg looked dazed thinking about his cheese.
"Yeah, maybe a nightmare.." I mumbled. Plagg looked very offended.
"You wouldn't know good cheese if it was melted right in front of you." Plagg crossed his stubs and turned away from me in a pout.
"Alright, we're here, hide Plagg." I motioned towards my pocket.
"This isn't over.." He sulked as he flew into my pocket.
As I stepped out of the limo, a flash of yellow engulfed me.
"Good morning, Adrikins. Happy to see me?" Chloe, my first friend, was clinging to me like saran wrap.
Suddenly her face changed from smiling to horrified.
"Uh, Adrikins? Why do you smell like rotten eggs?" Chloe's nose looked as if it wanted to fall off her face as she backed away.
"It's this thing my father--" I stepped forward to talk to her.
"Get away, that smell is repulsive. Absolutely repulsive. I think it's best if we avoid each other for a while. I don't want you ruining my image." Chloe looked at me sideways.
"You do that without any help, honey." Alya passed by. I held back a laugh.
"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Chloe stormed off, dragging her slave behind her.
I guess there was one good thing about Father's new breakfast drink.
I followed Alya to the side of the high school, Nino was waiting for us.
"Still no Mari?" Alya asked.
"Nope, you know she always sleeps in babe." Nino draped his arm around Alya.
"I worry about that girl." Alya leaned into Nino's touch.
Me too I thought as I searched the grounds for any signs of her. I hope that she's doing good.
The bell rang, signaling that class would start soon. Nino, Alya, and I walked to Miss Bustier's class and sat in our seats. I glanced back at Mari's empty seat.
The final bell rang and Miss Bustier began to take role.
"Agreste, Adrien?" She called.
"Here." Hurry up Marinette.
"Bourgeois, Chloe?"
"Here." I constantly watch the door.
"Bruel, Ivan?"
"Here."
"Césaire, Alya?"
"Here." Alya looked just as worried as I am.
"Couffaine, Juleka?"
"Here." C'mon Mari, please hurry..
"Dupain-Cheng, Marinette?"
"Here! I'm here!" The bluenette practically fell through the door.
Today was going to be interesting, I could sense it.
