Maisie's POV

I woke up from my slumber and stretched my arms while yawning. I re-read the letter that was on my bedside table, it made me smile. At least somebody cares about me in this big world. I was worrying in case that strange letter we got before was actually true, he could actually be alive. I hoped that Liam would come back today because I needed someone to talk to and also because I missed him. It gets lonely sitting in a hopsital room alone.

At about 10 o'clock-ish Liam and the boys came in. They brought me a muffin, I love them so much.

"Liam, I have something to show you," I said quietly. I grabbed the card and letter and handed them to him. He stayed still as if he wasn't breathing for a couple of seconds.

Liam's POV

I froze in my seat. This was practically proving that Zayn was still alive.

"Liam, are you okay?" Harry said. Harry and I still weren't friends but at least we acted as if we existed to each other.

"Huh, yeah. I'm fine," I said shaking my thoughts away. "Oh my gosh," I whispered to myself in shock as I read the last few sentences of the letter.

"What's wrong?" Louis asked. I gulped and handed him the card and letter. He read it and reacted the exact same way as me. Niall and Harry questioned what was going on so Louis showed them. We were all shocked. "Z" was a nickname we used for Zayn all of the time.

"What the hell?" Louis said, "What if this is him?"

"Um, I'm getting discharged today so I'm going to get dressed. There's an address on the back, I'm going to go there," Maisie said, grabbing her bag and then leaving the room. I sighed. Way too much drama in such a short space of time.

* * *

After Maisie had got dressed we left the hospital and started walking down the stairs to the car. We exited the double doors and there was just masses of people, probably fans considering they were screaming our names. We all waved and smiled as the security guards helped Maisie into the car. They closed the doors and we drove away. It was always like this, sometimes it is just too much. All of the people, all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my job but it can get very overwhelming.

Maisie's POV

After a short car ride, we reached the address that was on the evelope. I suggested that the boys should let me go alone. They all agreed reluctantly except Liam. He downright refused to let me go alone. I sighed and agreed to let him come with me. We both got out of the car while Harry, Louis and Niall waited in the car.

We were standing in front of a massive house. I walked up the path and braced myself to be disappointed. I knocked on the door a couple of times waited for a reply. There was no answer so I tried again.

"Ok, I'm coming!" a thick Bradford accent said. Both Liam and I looked at each other. What if it could be him? The door opened to reveal a lad in about his twentys, he had blonde hair, blue eyes and was really tall but unfortunately it wasn't Zayn. Liam and I sighed.

"Um, does anyone called Zayn, maybe Z, live here?" I asked, crossed my fingers hopefully behind my back.

"Sorry no, you must have the wrong address," The boy said. I apoligised to him for wasting his time as Liam and I walked back to the car. We got in and closed the doors behind us.

"Any luck?" Louis asked. I shook my head and stared out of the window for the whole ride home. Liam kept giving me sympathetic smiles across the car every now and then. I returned the smiles. This must be heart-breaking for him. I think Liam missed Zayn the most out of all of us. If anybody ever metioned Zayn's name, Liam would zone out for a little while.

We reached the house. We all walked in and dumped our stuff on the floor next to the door. I don't think anyone was in the best of moods, I know I definately wasn't. I stayed with Liam for most of the day, I wanted to make sure I was there for him when he needed me. We all went to bed quite early that night, we all needed a decent night sleep. I hadn't slept for days because of being in that hospital.

I fell asleep next to the boy I loved and that was enough for me. I was glad I had him in my life, it really was a blessing. I couldn't ask for anyone better, he treated me like a princess. I loved him so very much.
