You didn't know what to do. You felt so lost in your own thoughts ... "What will happen now" that's what you would constantly ask yourself
Would you ever again feel a sense of euphoria even if it's just for a tiny bit "Just once more" you always hoped.
*Present time*
"Y/n-ah?!" A familiar voice that you missed so much yells out to you, making you turn your head to see your one and only best friend running towards your hospital bed, dropping everything that was in his arms to embrace you in a warm hug.
"I shouldn't have let you come to Japan by yourself" he murmurs pressing a kiss to your head.
"I was with Yuuto the whole time Jun-ah" You say hugging him back smiling faintly
Kang Haejun your closest friend. Someone who you can rely on to make your day better, someone who you can talk to and rant to. He's the only person you have that you could really call family.
Of course, He gets quite overprotective of you from time to time especially when he first met your soulmate, "Yuuto Tanaka" a Japanese college student whom you coincidentally bumped into at an amusement park in Seoul while he was traveling there. When you helped him up from the concrete ground a tingling feeling shot through you, a strong smell of gingerbread enclosed around you and a strong feeling of wanting to stay close to him filled you. It was like you had no control of your senses but somehow in a good sort of way. All the things that you felt were leading to only one conclusion.
He was your soulmate.
You would have never imagined to meet your soulmate in such a place and at such a time as you were not even 21 ( the age where everyone's soulmate links start to work), nor did you plan to meet and actually bond with your soulmate so soon in your life, and lastly how the hell would you tell a random stranger that he was your soulmate.
Luckily you were wearing a thick puffer jacket due to the fact that it was nearly winter and was freezing outside without at least 2 layers of clothing on. Luckily the jackey was covering your whole arm including your hand so a soulmate mark wouldn't have formed anywhere through the thick material.
You didn't even realize that you were staring at him until he cleared his throat making you snap out of your thoughts
"Oh- umm- I'm sorry for bumping into you" I said nervously scratching the back of my head.
"No it's okay. I wasn't paying attention to were I was looking anyways"
Right after that he highly insisted that he would take you out for some food later that afternoon.
He was an absolute sweetheart.
At the end of the day he confessed to you about the soulmate symptoms and all that with scarlet cheeks, he even apologized about not telling you sooner and asked for your number if you were comfortable with it making you coo at his cuteness.
Nearly 3 weeks off hanging out he invited you to stay with him in Japan for awhile. You were quite reluctant for quite some time, but after a lot of second thoughts and overthinking, you finally accepted his offer and flew to Japan a week after.
Even though you had only known each other for a few weeks, you knew you could trust him.
First of all he introduced you to his sister , took you to numerous famous landmarks and even took you to his workplace where you found out that he was an intern animator of a famous anime series. You were so happy that you got to spend time with him even though he was at his part time job at the studio working most afternoons.
