Chapter 3

We were just pulling back into the drive of the castle on the day of my party. Everyone was running around like they lost their minds, maybe cause my party started in two hours. We got our bags out of the back of my pick up and started walking inside. Half way up the steps we were being lifted. We both knew there was only one person who could carry us both. "Chuy!" we both screamed.

"Hey girls y'all miss me?" he said putting us down.

"Of course how have you been pea brain," Anastasia asked.

"I have been good now I need y'all's opinion."

"On," I asked getting a little excited.

"I met a girl," me and Anastasia started jumping up and down acting like little girls. "Calm down it's not that big of a deal."

"Who are you lying to?" I asked still jumping up and down.

"Y'all will both meet her at the party, okay?"

"But I want to meet her now," Anastasia whinned.

"Stop being a baby and y'all go get ready," he said pushing us into the castle. We separate, I go to my room and she goes to her's. When I get there I go and take a shower. I decided to straighten my hair and pull the two pieces back and meet in the center and braide them to the bottom. I got my sapphire blue deep v-neck ruched chiffon gown. I looked in the mirror and smiled this was my favorite dress and that says a lot because I don't like dresses. I finally grab some silver heels. By the time I was done it was five minutes till the party was supposed to start. I start walking slowly to the ballroom. By the time I got there the party it had already started. The guest were coming in through the outside enternce. I walked over to where my mother, father, Mrs. Clarie and Mr. Mark were sitting. Anastasia was standing by her mother and I had to stand by mine. When I got there I gave my daddy a hug I never see him and that's mainly because he loves to travel he loves to be with the people. I gave a hug to my mom and then stood next to her. "So is Christopher coming?" she asked quietly.

"I don't know," I sighed.

"Well it will all be okay I'm sure of it." she smiled at me. We watched as more people came in and then I saw some people who I have never seen before. It was lycans, werewloves, shifters, even witches and warlocks. Leo was at the front with a woman who I could tell was a witch and two children. "My King and Queen," he said and they all bowed.

"It's good to see you again Leo," my mother said.

"Son my wife has told me about y'all but I want to speak to your leader," my father said and everyone in the room went quiet. My dad doesn't talk a lot but when he does everyone better listen up because he has a short temper.

"Sir, he should be here any minute," Leo said cowering down.

Leo's daughter started walking up to us, "Hi I'm Chloe," she said to me.

I saw Leo's mate wanting to grab her child and pull her back, "Hello, I'm Kat," I said bending down with a smile.

"This is for you," she waved her hands and a gift bag was there.

"Why thank you. And this is for all of you." I put the present down and started waving my hands and it looked like pixie powder was in my hands then I blew it towards her. And there were stars flying all around us. "Pick one to take with y'all everywhere and wish apon it as much as you hearts desire." She smiled and grabbed the smallest one. "Do you know which star that is?" she shook her head. "It is the star of hope."

"Then why is it so small?"

"Because you only need a little hope to go so far." she smiled and giggled. I stood up and looked at her mother and she smiled thanking me. Chloe ran back to all the little kids and showed them the star. My mother look at me, she had pride in her eyes as did my father. I picked up the gift and opened it. I almost dropped it, it was the Notebook. Anastasia was to my side that second.

'What is it?' I heard in my head.

'It's the book missing from the library, the book I was reading when I rejected Hunter.'

Her eyes got big, 'You don't think?' Too late everyone in the room freezes as the man from the woods walks in. He didn't dress up or anything like his people did. All he had on was a black v-neck shirt that hung to him and blue jeans with cowboy boots. Everyone made room for him as he walked all the way in front of Leo. He bows to my mother and father. "Boy where the hell have you been?" my dad said getting up and going to hug this guy. I couldn't believe it.

"Hello my King and finding who I am." he hugged my dad back.

"It's good to see you again, it's been so long." my dad gave him one last hug before sitting next to my mother again.

"My Queen," he said with a big smile on his face.

"Don't come to me with that crap," my mom said trying to hold back a smile. She got up and gave him a hug and sat back down.

"Nic who is this?" My dad's Beta, Johnny, asked. He was Carmicheal's and Hunter's dad.

"You can't be serious right now can you?" my dad said getting a little upset. My mom placed her hand on my dad's arm. By now the whole party was focused on us.

"Boy what is your name?" Johnny asked this guy.

"You should know my name," he said very calmly.

"Listen I am not going to let some punk make jokes at me, now tell me your name," he growled and got in this guys face.

"Why? What are you going to do? Hit me? Like you did when I was a pup." This guy growled. Johnny has been known to get violent very quickly so it wasn't a surprise.

"You need to learn some manners," Johnny snarled.

"I'm not scared of you," he said calmly.

"Well you should be."

"No, I know this isn't who you really are. You are just like this because your mate died."

"You don't know anything about me?"

"Are you sure about that?" Carmicheal was in front of me and Anastasia, "Really? Do you honestly think I would hurt them?" he said to Carmicheal.

"I don't know who you are but no one is going to touch them," I knew Carmicheal was getting mad.

"Car, please calm down," Anastasia begged quietly.

"I think you should leave," Car said to the guy.

"Why? The King and Queen want me here. They are just waiting for y'all to figure out who I am." he said with a smirk on his face. Chris walks through the door and I smile.

"What the hell is he doing here?" he snarled.

"Chris," I said coming out from behind Car.

"Stay there Kat," he said and I did Ana stood next to me holding my hand. "Listen I don't know who you are and I don't care but you will stay away from her."

"Are you kidding me? Y'all still don't know who I am? Really?" he started laughing. "Come on Katerina, I know you have a got to have a guess of who I am."

"I don't," I said calmly.

"See now you're lying to yourself. You know exactly who I am. I gave you a hint, and I know you can sense it."

"I don't know," I said trying to think.

"The book, it's the same book you looked for the day we met." he said getting tired of us not knowing.

"Hunter," I said and I felt the burn of his name on my lips.
