The whole family was just doing their own thing and having fun in the house. They had the air conditioning and lots of fans on since it was really hot in the house today. It waa a really hot outside as well.
Everyone was just talking and relaxing when all of a sudden, they heard a loud beep and the lights went out. The house immediately went dark since it was nighttime. Then they heard screaming.
A lot of the kids and some of the other family members were crying out of fear. Some of them were just surprised and others of them just blinked in confusion.
Glenn and the other light demons immediately turned on their tails as Melody, John, Jacelyn, Charlotte, Zachary and Mario grabbed a bunch of flashlights. Everyone grabbed one looking nervous.
"W-Wha happen...?" Zaine babbled with teary eyes as Christian heard and picked him up and cuddled him close. "Shh, just a blackout Zainie, we're safe..." He held him and murmured softly as Zaine whimpered.
"What's a blackout...?" Misty looked up worriedly. "It's when the power goes out so we have no lights or electricity..." Jack explained as some of them frowned a bit.
"Wait...there's no electricity?! There's no wifi?!" Elijah, Futaba, Ethan, Pax and Lorelei yelped in surprise as some of the others chuckled. "You guys can survive a couple hours without internet!" Dave said.
"No we can't!" Mikey groaned dramatically. A few of the kids were still crying. Emily, Maylee, Cho, Renai, Sophia, Milly, Azure and Clementine were shaking and crying.
Hannah picked up Emily and rocked her gently. "Shh, mommy's hair Emmie, you're safe baby girl..." Emily clung to her tightly. "Mommy...!" She was scared of the dark.
Hannah kept rocking her trying to comfort her as Maylee clung to Ben. "D-Daddy...!" He frowned. "Everything's okay May-May, we have flashlights and we're all here..."
Cho was whimpering with teary eyes as Ellis saw and held her close. "I'm here Cho-Cho..." He gave her a teddy bear as she clung to her. "E-Eli!" She whimpered more.
Renai was shaking a bit as Mike was holding him in his lap. "We're safe here Rennie..." Renai whimpered at that. "I know..." He hid his face in Mike's chest.
Sophia was crying as Muraki picked her up and rocked her gently. "Shh, dada's here Sophie, you're okay baby..." She clung to him crying more as he rocked her closer to him as she started calming down a bit.
Milly was whimpering softly as Alexis heard and held her close as Milly clung to her. Clementine joined in crying as Trevor held them gently and tried calming her.
Azure was huddled up on the couch crying and shaking as he hated the dark. Lazuli saw and hugged him close to her. "Oh baby, shhh, mommy's here my little Aza...mommy loves you and you're safe..." She whispered.
"M-Mommy!" He clung to her as Hendrix and Colden joined in. The pets were shaking too as the rest of the family held them. "Don't worry babies..." Mabel whispered. "We're safe..." Alex added.
Bamboo, Waddles, Chompers, Squishy Paws, Snuggles, Dots, Maku, Timber, Hedwig, Crookshanks and Pen cuddled into them with the other pets as they were all gently petted and calmed down.
Eloise was cuddled up to Kirby crying as he was holding her close and purring softly trying to calm her down. Melody joined in as she cuddled into both, whimpering.
After a few minutes, everyone calmed down and put all the flashlights on as well as lanterns. The house had a bit more light now. "When will the power be back on?" August asked with big eyes as he purred.
"I'm not sure Auggie, we'll just have to wait and see..." Cameron answered as Augusta and a few others sighed. Some of them looked upset that the power and wifi was out as they cuddled close together.
"Hey, this isn't so bad...it's like camping!" Iwai tried to lighten the mood. Lucas looked up at him. "Camping...?" He nodded. "Yeah, only we're camping in the living room!"
Morgan giggled. "We're camping!" She cheered as Mitsuyo giggled too. "Yay!" They started smiling. Maybe this blackout wouldn't be so bad after all!
Eileen grabbed some puzzles and board games as they made sure they had enough light. The family decided to work on a few puzzles together and play some games to keep them busy until the power came back.
A little later, Luna looked up. "How are we gonna eat...?" Her tummy growled. The stove and microwave didn't work. "I have an idea!" Sojiro, Murakami and Axel said at the same time as they smiled.
"We can use the fireplace to cook food!" Murakami offered. "And make a lot of sandwiches!" Axel added. "And we can get fruits and vegetables from the garden!" Sojiro jumped in as everyone smiled.
"Good ideas!" Howard, Kane and Michael started heating up hot dogs, chicken nuggets and other foods over the fireplace on sticks like a campfire. Melody, Katherine and Zoey made some sandwiches.
Devin, Oskar and Glenn got a lot of fruits and veggies from the garden and soon everyone was eating in the living room. The pets were eating their usual food since that didn't need cooking. Gompers, Wolfe, Pip, the veggimals and BunBun along with the other pets ate happily.
Once dinner waa over, the family decided to cuddle in the living room a while. "I miss tv..." Timmy, Aiden, Jackson, Leo, Eva, Jess, Grey, Rachelle, Amaya and Mick sighed.
"We know, but we can have fun without tv kiddos..." Karim smiled as she held them close. "How Kari...?" Korosensi looked at him. "Like this!" Karim started tickling Korosensi and some of the kids.
They burst out laughing and squealing as everyone smirked and started tickling and nuzzling each other as they all laughed. They tickled the pets too who purred.
They did this for a few minutes more until they stopped and calmed down. It was late now. Time for bed. "Can we all sleep down here tonight...?" Alec suggested as they all smiled and nodded. "Of course Al..."
They all cuddled close and snuggled into sleeping bags. They yawned before slowly falling asleep as they held each close and protectively. The pets cuddled into them with big eyes as they snored softly.
Suddenly, in the middle of the night, the lights turned on and everyone blinked. "The power is back on!" They all cheered as they jumped up and down excitedly.
Then, Max turned off the lights. They all cuddled into the sleeping bags. Just becsuse the power was back on, didn't mean they had to stop having their sleepover.
Blackouts weren't that bad!
