A/N: I didn't know what image to put for this chapter, so I put what I imagine y/n's house looks like and a song recommendation <3 also, y/n's parents remind me a bit of Victor and Victoria from the corpse bride but with switched families

Time seemed to fly by after that wavering summer, the main initial changes had been done and now you found yourself at the Black home every other day, so ultimately you got used to it.

Eventually November came by, which brought Sirius' birthday with it, his birthday party had been planned mostly by your mother, who claimed Sirius must have a proper birthday after Walburga said she wasn't planning on doing anything for her son. Since you didn't go to school yet and your family barely had any friends (courtesy of Walburga) the only guests were other Black family members and a few other people with similar aged children Walburga couldn't prevent your mother from meeting

You didn't know anybody there other than the main Black's, as you overheard Sirius' extended family was there as well, including his cousins, that was one of the few times you had ever seen them, you had vaguely seen them during some of the parties you used to attend, but you were clueless to the fact that they were his close relatives. There were two tall curly haired older girls, one with light brown soft curls and the other with insane dark brown curls, then there was a younger blond girl next to them, she was quite beautiful, she seemed shyer than her sisters and her platinum hair contrasted beautifully with her pale blue gown, but ultimately she got lost in the small crowd and you did not see her again for a long time

The whole party Sirius tried to go with you, but his family members would unconsciously hold him back by holding long conversations with him or patting his shoulder to congratulate him before he could get away, thanks to this you were left alone with Regulus, you had some negative feelings towards him so at first you were a little skeptical about spending the whole afternoon with him, but eventually you gave in

Regulus, you and the other children who's parents had been invited by your mother, sat bored on the living room black settee, just staring at your shoes, suddenly you had a brilliant idea

-"hey " you whispered to the youngest brother "watch this" you concentrated for a while before blowing a little bubble out of your hand, making Regulus giggle

Thankfully nobody seemed to notice, but for a while the two of you were just suppressing laughter as you blew barely noticeable bubbles

-"what are you doing sitting here darlings?" Your mother finally came for your rescue after an hour or so of just sitting down "go to the playroom and play" she smiled

Of course she did not notice this, but her words made Orion Black, who was standing near, scoff under his breath looking away with a disapproval look on his face

The four children and you ran cheerfully upstairs, Regulus held your hand and you held it back while giggling, this was a way you had never seen him in before, being an actual child, running around and having fun, when you got to the playroom someone suggested you played pirates, and so you did, everyone had the time of their lives, Reggie was a royal child your pirate troop had kidnapped and one of the kids was the savior, passing hard tests to get to Regulus, once he did you all pretend died and fell on the floor before playing an endless amount of other games until the party was over

By the end of the night, Regulus was your dearest friend and he seemed to have had a great time with you as well, his grin as big as you had ever seen it, Sirius on the other hand seemed to feel the complete opposite way, he acted polite naturally, but his jaw clenched each time he saw you and his brother giggling as your new friends parted

Sooner than you could recall, you were already packing to go back to your home country for the holidays, of course not without Walburga persistently trying to convince your mother to stay first "it would be our first Christmas together" "you know you're more than welcome to stay" "it's not even been a year since you moved" "the children will miss each other terribly" she tried everything, but your mother would not give in
