3rd Person POV
It was hard for Madison to leave her dream school but she really missed home, she missed her parents and knew it was time to go home.
She kept reminding herself that she would be back after she graduates in a year as we wants to continue pursuing culinary, as well as business as she wants to open a restaurant and possibly more than one.
It's a few days before her senior year of high school begins so she is on her way back home now so she can spend a few days with her parents before school starts up again.
She'll be going to Forks High School again for her final year. She went to the school for both her freshman and sophomore year but was away for her junior.
It's 5:00am when Madison said a sad goodbye to her friends she made and one of her mentors, she said goodbye to the others the day before. They all made her promise to keep in touch and to let them know when she arrived home safely as it's about a 7 hour drive to Forks Washington from Eugene Oregon.
Because she was leaving so early she should make it to Forks by 11 am or 12pm by the latest.
She made sure she had everything before stopping by Dutch Brothers for a Raspberry Mango Rebel drink to keep her wake and full of energy. But if she were being honest energy drinks don't really boost her energy they just taste good.
Afterwards she made it onto the highway where she started to road trip playlist full of multiple different types, like Disney, Musicals, Irish Folk, Rock, Hip hop and more. She also was snacking on pumpkin bread for the beginning of the drive.

The drive home was beautiful but also had a sad feeling to it as she passed areas of beautiful dense forests full of green moss covered trees. But she also passed areas of dead try land which had spots covering the ground in charcoal from the forest fires that have been all over the state.
It made her so sad to see the sad almost dead trees that were still standing after being hit full force by the raging fires. It was sad to think about those poor plants, animals and people who lost their homes or lives due to it.
Madison then thought about her volunteer work she had been doing to help people who lost there homes due to the disaster. She helped supply clothes, food & drinks, and day care to the people and also helped them dig through the left over rubble of the homes to help salvage anything left behind.
She tried to be optimistic about it all but it's hard.
That's something she will continue to do even if she lives in Forks, is volunteer to help people in any way she can.
She finally made it to the border of Washington and Oregon, so she decided to go and get something smalll to munch on for the last few hours of the trip.
She decided she was done with music and started listening to Podcasts, more specifically Crime Junkie. Which was one of the podcasts she listened to religiously every week. She even listened to ones she already listened to before.
She decided to get McDonald's as it's one of her favorite fast food places which she barley ever gets as she knows it bad for her but she decided to treat herself. She also got a hazelnut freeze from Dutch Brothers before she messaged her parents her location. She made it back on the road again toward her home.
