Affected By Lightning

The day the demons took over, a young boy with the ability to blast lightning bolts from his fingertips had been hiding in his home, listening to the sounds of people screaming. He was scared and he was alone. His parents were out during the time of this attack. He hid under his bed, knowing he had the power to do something, but was too afraid to do anything about it.
That's when he heard someone scream his name. It sounded like his mother. Max raced from under his bed and ran to see if his mother was okay.
By the time Max got outside, he saw nothing but carnage and destruction.
"Mom?" Max called out. "Where are you?"
That's when he heard both his parents call his name. Max turned to them. "Mom! Dad!" Max shouted as he jumped into the air and began flying toward them. He had only just received his powers so he didn't entirely know how to use them yet. So during his flight toward them, he hit the ground.
"Not again!" He said to himself.
His mom called out to him once more.
Max got onto his feet and began trying to fly, but he was only falling to the ground. "Why is this happening?!" He began crying over his failure to reach his parents.
That's when the ground behind his parents blasted open and a demonic hand reached out from the hole to bring itself up to the ground.
Ms. Walker and Mr. Walker turned to see what was going on and when they saw the demon climbing out of the ground, Ms. Walker screamed at it, but the demon took a swipe at her head and killed her instantly.
"Mom!!!!!!" Max screamed out loud as he watched his mother's headless body hit the ground.
Two more demons climbed out with the first demon and attacked Mr. Walker in seconds.
"No!!!!!!" Max watched helplessly as his parents were eaten alive by the demons from beneath the planet.
"Mom!!! Dad!!! No!!!" Max screamed so loud that his voice box nearly blew out. He watched as the demons turned to him and growled, preparing themselves to eat him next.
Max tried flying but his flight wasn't working for him the way he wanted it to. The demons grew closer to their prey. Max then remembered that he could shoot bolts of lightning out of his finger tips.
"You animals will die!" Max raised one of his hands and aimed his fingers at the demons. Massive amounts of bolts were shot at the demons and killed all three of them in seconds. Max was surprised by the level of power he possessed in his hands and then cried, knowing that he could have done it earlier to save his parents.
"I could have saved them. I could have saved them both!!" Max laid flat on his belly, regretting everything that had just happened to him.

Months after this incident, Max had become fully grown in his powers and often spent his days flying over the city of Los Angeles killing demons.
One day, he heard a cry for help during his flight over town. Max looked down below him and saw a razor sharp horned demon dragging a young girl toward a hole. Max was furious over this and rushed down to try to save the young girl.
The Horned Demon turned to see Max coming and smiled at his will to fight. The demon pretended to not see him coming and as Max got close enough to the Horned Demon, he used his foot to kick Max into a nearby store. This is exactly what the demon wanted and continued down into the hole. She screamed one last time before he fainted away, leaving Max to realize that she had gone down into the hole.
Max jumped to his feet and rushed over to the hole. He looked down inside, not seeing anything but fire. Max knew he had to go down there and save that young girl. He took a deep breath and flew down into the hole, hoping that he could accomplish this save.

Max hit the ground of the fiery landscape he was surrounded by. A part of him was amazed, but the other part was more worried about the young girl. He heard a scream from down a dark path. Max called out, "Where are you?!"
His voice echoed through the entire space. Max knew that this was going to be a dangerous move. He floated above the ground and flew into the darkness. He blasted bolts from his fingertips, giving him the ability to see light around him for a second. He continued to do this until the Horned Demon jumped in front of him. Max screamed as he hit the ground, unable to see a thing.
He felt something grab his leg and begin to drag him. Max screamed once more as he shot a bolt of lightning at whatever was dragging him. The Horned Demon groaned as he let go of the bolted boy.
Max couldn't see a thing. But he could hear the Horned Demon breathing aggressively and running toward him. Max pinpointed where the demon might be and shot bolts from all of his fingers into the Horned Demon, causing him to give out a painful scream before a disgusting explosion happened. It must've meant that Max sent some many volts into the demon that it exploded.
The blood and guts of the demon covered Max all over. He felt disgusted with himself and began turning around to head back toward the light. But that's when he heard sniffling from a young girl. Max froze and looked all around him. He asked, "Girl?"
She began to walk closer toward him. Max couldn't see her but he could hear her walking toward him. "Are you okay?" Max asked. But the sounds of crying he heard soon turned into the laughter of an older woman. This confused Max and when he felt her grab his shirt, he flew far away from her.
As he got closer to the light, he looked behind him and saw the young girl laughing like a grown woman. Her eyes were pure red. Max screamed as he saw she was flying toward him. She had caught up to him and pinned him to the ground. "You should mind your own business, little boy!" The young girl said as she raised his hand to kill Max. The sight of the young girl trying to kill him gave him flashbacks to when he witness his mothers death and screamed, "No!!"
Max kicked the young girl off him and said, "You will all return back to where you came from when I'm done with you!"
Bolts of lightning were blasted at her by Max. She jumped out of the way trying to dodge them but Max was trying way too hard to kill her. The young girl realized that the power Max had was strong enough to kill any demon in sight. This wasn't something she could let escape from her sights.
The young girl lashed at Max in a direction he didn't expect. Max covered his face and in an instant, an electric barrier formed around him causing the young girl to get caught in it and turn to ash.
Max had heard the sound of the young girl screaming before turning into nothing and removed his hands from his face. He saw the barrier around him for a few seconds and eventually it disappeared. It amazed him more than it confused him. He looked all around for the young girl and saw she was nowhere to be seen. As confused as Max was, he saw this as an opportunity to rush out of the fiery landscape he was in. But what Max wasn't aware of was that an army of demons were above, waiting for him to arise so they could capture and possess him for the powers he had within him would be able to destroy them all...
