Peter webs up Liz's dad to a pile of all Tony's crates. Before we leave, I find a pen and paper from the crash and write a note. 'FOUND;FLYING VULTURE GUY! FROM: SPIDER-MAN & DAHLIA (PS:SORRY ABOUT YOUR PLANE.)'

Peter and sit on top of the cyclone watching as Happy and the police pull up to the beach and find Liz's dad.

"Wow." Peter lets out. "Out of all the things I imagined happening on homecoming night, this was not even close to what I expected." He scoffs and I let out a chuckle. Our legs dangling over the edge of the fair ride.

"Yeah, I guess this isn't a typical homecoming night." I laugh. Peter looks at me as I watch the city. I caught his gaze and he lightly smiled at me.

"What did you have in mind about homecoming?" I ask him. He takes a deep breath and sighs.

"I- heh, I can't even say it." He tells me.

"Oh, come on." I say. "We just defeated our friend's evil dad together, I think we can talk to each other about things."

He nods and smiles. He looks at me, I tilt my head and shrug my shoulders.

"Fine." He states, looking away from me. He grows shy and fiddles with the mask in his hands.

"Liz and I made this plan to surprise you at her place. You and I would make up before the dance and then have a really fun night." He says.

"Okay, what's so bad about that?" I laugh.

"Because after that-I..." He trails off. "I wanted to apologize... for what happened after the Ferry." He says sincerely.

"Peter, it's fine. Don't worry-" I begin.

"No. No, it's not fine. Especially because-" He pauses and lets out a sigh. "I like you." He confesses quietly. I look at him with a grin on my face.

"I know." I say to him. His head shoots over to me.

"Y-you do?" He asks me, slightly panicked.

"Yes. Peter, how many times do I have to tell you that mind reading is literally my superpower." I say with a smile and Peter laughs. "I'm an empath and a telepath, I am constantly feeling other peoples thoughts and emotions, including yours." I laugh.

"Yeah, I guess I should've seen that coming." He says looking down.

I see Happy shine a flash light onto the sign I'd left and he looks around for us. "Oh, shit. I should probably get down there. He's gonna want to know what happened." I say to Peter.

"Y-yeah. Okay." He says. I smile before I put on my mask and speed away.

After the weekend, Liz and I haven't talked. To be fair, she just found out her father was a criminal and it seemed like her best friend was constantly ditching her.
