How I Met Lawndale

   We've always lived in Seattle. Seattle was home. I loved its picturesque landscapes and its city architecture. I loved the gloomy rain, the culture. But all the love in the world couldn't pay the ever-rising interest rates on our house. 

   That's why we moved to Lawndale. Cool, dry Lawndale.  With a population just under 4,000 miserable nobodies, Lawndale was Colorado's smallest town and just happened to be the depressing nowhere my parents decided to move our lives to.

   It was mid-March, the middle of the semester. Everyone already knew each other. Everyone already had their friends. That's why I sat alone. Every day. Until she came along...
