Reki found himself huddled up in his blankets. There was a thunderstorm outside, so Reki was indeed very upset about it, the loud thunder that resonated throughout the area, giving a small shock to the poor redhead, the white light that came after it, and the pouring rain that was strong enough to destroy near trees made Reki feel absolutely terrified. Despite himself being a loud individual, he hated loud noises, and thunderstorms were obviously included.

Now, usually at times like these, Reki would keep the lights on in his bedroom, but  unfortunately, the power from his house went off, and now he was there in the dark. The redhead huddled himself, until he was formed into a little ball of blankets, another roar and that was enough to cause Reki to sob quietly, he usually loved the rain, the gentle pouring of water, the calm atmosphere that it brought. So the fact that something so beautiful can turn into something so terrifying to Reki was a but surprising.

So, as Reki began bracing himself for the next thunder, his phone began to ring, he left his phone at the edge of his bed, so the redhead mustered all of his courage to retrieve his phone. As he took his phone and checked the caller, his amber eyes sparkled with joy, and immediately took the call.

"Langa" he said meekly, he didn't try to cover up his vulnerable state. "Reki! I'm so glad you picked up the call, good job" the blunette praised, Reki's cheeks began to grow hot, his nerves calming a bit. "W-well, why did you call? Shouldn't you be sleeping?", "yeah, but there's a thunderstorm going on, so I wanted to check up on you" Reki's heart began to beat fast, the fact that Langa cared to even remember Reki's fear of loud noises, and is actually worried about him? Usually this kind of fear would be something to be teased about...but, Langa is different. "Ah, I'm fine! Well..not really, I fucking hate thunderstorms, and the power went off in my house". "Oh no! Do you have a back-up generator?" Langa asked, "no, we don't.."

Once again, a loud flash strikes, making the redhead feel like it was right in front of his house. He squeaked, dropping the phone on his mattress, quickly covering himself with his blanket, "Reki?! Are you okay?" There was a bit of silence from Reki's side of the line, this caused the blunette to get worried, "Reki?". "Y-Yeah?" The familiar voice said, Langa smiled to himself, poor Reki.. "do you..want me to tell you a story?" That caught the redhead's attention. "A story?", "yeah, you know, to help you sleep" Langa cringed at the last part of his sentence, help him to sleep? Really dumbass? You're gonna make him feel like a child...

"Yes please"

The unexpected answer left the blunette frozen, shit...what story should I tell? "Um..once upon a time, there was a girl who was given the nickname 'Cinderella'" Cinderella?! Are you kidding me?!  "Oh, I like that story!" The redhead commented, Langa could feel the excitement from the other line, "oh..well, Cinderella had a father who married a woman with two daughters. And as you know, the woman and her daughters were horrible people to Cinderella..."

"They would make her clean the house, wash their clothes, cook them food, dress the the stepsisters up and, even force Cinderella to sleep in the attic!" Reki shook his head, "poor Cinderella, I would always cry for her" he laughed, "one day, the step sisters began talking about a ball that was gonna happen that night, and Cinderella couldn't help but be curious, she begged her step mother to take her too, and so the step mother made a deal with her: "of you do all your chores before night time, then I'll take you", and so, Cinderella did her best to finish her chores - and she did! And so she sewed her own dress and got ready for the ball. However, when the step sisters saw her dress, they took it upon themselves to rip it apart, causing Cinderella to no longer be able to go to the ball, and Cinderella began to cry as her step mother and sisters left for the ball".

"And then, the godmother appeared!" The redhead said, causing the blunette to gush over how adorable he was being. Hearing him so happy and much much better than hearing him sound so terrified. "Yeah! The godmother appeared and gave Cinderella a beautiful dress and glass slippers, turned mice into horses and a pumpkin into a big carriage, the godmother then told Cinderella that she only had until midnight to enjoy the ball and Cinderella agreed". Langa then continued on telling the story of Cinderella, as Reki listened, no longer interrupting him, by the time Langa finished, the thunderstorm was no longer around, instead it was the gentle pitter patter of rain. Langa looked out the window, happy to see that the thunder was no more, "Reki, look! The thunderstorm is gone" there was no response from the other boy, "Reki?" Yhe blunette stayed quiet for a bit, listening for any noise that showed that the redhead was still alive.

Fortunately, soft snores were heard from the other line, "he's asleep..." Langa's face turned warm as a thought came to mind is this how it is to sleep with you? Reki... god, Langa felt embarrassed by how much he was liking the sound of the redhead's snores. He moved his phone away from his ear, ready to end the call, but fuck he couldn't do it..instead he put the speaker on, once again hearing the soft, adorable snores from Reki, the blunette placed his phone next to him. He stayed awake, letting the sounds of Reki be his aid with sleep, "good night Reki...I love you".
