Matts POV

Me and Mari were now holding hands. I liked her and now I'm pretty sure she liked me back. I'm saying this because I accidentally touched her hand and she said she liked it as held it. "Matt..?" Mari said for the second time tonight. This time I hope for her to keep talking. "Have you ever been..." she continued but stopped. "Ever been what?" I ask "have you ever been best friends with somebody and ended up falling in love with them?" She asked. I just stood there. No reply just me staring at the city lights. "yes." I whisper. She looks at me "really! Who?" She said to me. "you" I whispered even quieter. "what?" She questioned "You." I said a bit louder. I looked down expecting a rejection from her. But instead I just got a hug. A nice soft Mari hug. I looked at her and she looked at me. Our hug breaks and I stand across from her holding her hands. "Mari?" I asked "yes?" She asked raising her eyebrows "do mind if I do this?" I say immediately follows by a kiss. A small kiss, nothing but just a touch on the lips. "no, I don't mind." she said. We both laughed and hugged. "Its getting really late," Mari said, "wanna just go sleep on the pull out couch in the office you were editing in earlier?" She asked. "Ya sure I'm tired," I reply. We took the elevator down and trudged into the office. There were still a few people there on the night shift. We pulled out the couch got a blanket and layer down. But we didn't make it look like we're a couple or anything. I slept really well that night.
