Unstable (Brawl Stars Dystopian AU)

Chapter 3: Support

Not too long after returning to the bunker, Rico wanted to know why everything has become progressively worse lately... The place all the brawlers are living in is barely inhabitable anymore, there's fights everywhere. He went to ask Brock.

"The explosions?" Brock replied. "They were caused by a huge group who has a lot of control over the world."

"A huge group? Do they have a name?"

"Weirdly enough, no. They're a group which doesn't even have a leader."

"Huh... What do they do?"

"They get brawlers to do things for them, which the actions often involve harming people, and in return, they will let them join the group. A lot of people want to join because of the size. But the group is actually very abusive to the other members, and it's really hard to leave..."

Rico thought to himself, that's a pretty messed up group... he continued asking questions, but this time it's about him. "How do you know all of this?"

Brock looked around for a bit, then whispered to Rico, "It's because 8-BIT used to be apart of it before... But please don't bring that group up around him..."

Rico understood 8-BIT's preferences, well... Brock did say the group was very abusive to the other members...

After a few seconds of silence, Brock turned to Rico and said, "We probably should go and stop the fight outside from getting worse... I still can hear a lot of noises."

"Alright."

8-BIT also came out from another room and asked, "Can I join?" The two looked at 8-BIT, they were hesitant on letting him go after what happened last time.

"Uhh... How about you stay in the bunker and guard it for a bit, 8-BIT?" Rico didn't want him to get in danger again, but didn't wanna hurt his feelings. 8-BIT was a little sad, but he's fine with guarding the bunker for the time being. Plus, Rico and 8-BIT got connected to each other. So whenever one needs help, they can easily give the other a little shock to notify.

Once the two left the bunker, they felt like somebody was watching them, they tried to shake the feeling off, but it just keeps coming back.

Out of nowhere, Peep came out of a bush and flew right in front of them which made Brock and Rico jump.

"Psst... Hey. Over here! I come in peace!"

The sound came from the bush came out of. They both recognized that voice almost instantly, it was Nani's!

They entered the bush, Nani was waiting for them to come out to have a little talk.

"Hey Brock and Rico! You two became friends?"

Rico was surprised that Nani didn't attack them, "NANI? Why didn't you-"

"Rico! I know you, 8-BIT and Brock got accused of doing something, and that everyone is trying to hunt you down..."

"So why didn't you attack us?"

"Of course I wouldn't, silly! I've met all three of you before, you guys never seemed like the person to do such thing. I don't get why everyone would attack you guys."

"Wow... Thanks Nani."

"Welp, I'll do whatever I can to clear your name! I'm excited to work with you!"

The three brawlers went over to area where the fight is happening.

"The fight is still going on?!" Nani gasped in horror.

"Yeah..." Brock sighed.

"Say... Nani, it has been a while since I met you. I forgot what your attack is like."

"Oh?" Nani said. "Let me demonstrate!"

After saying that, Nani shot 3 electric orbs, but one of them accidentally hit Rico and made him screech in pain.

"OH MY- I'm so sorry!" Nani apologized.

After being hit, Rico got some small shocks that that had a very short delay time, but eventually stopped.

"Wow... Those electric orbs can really leave an effect on someone..." Brock said.

After watching that, Nani got a little confused by something, something was bothering her. But Rico and Brock didn't realize.

"Welp... Let's go and stop this fight now!" Rico declared.

They entered the fight, the brawlers noticed them three and started going for them.

Rico started shooting some brawlers with his gun. However, it didn't seem to stop one from getting a little too close. Rico turned around and saw the brawler who's getting close. He freaked out and slammed the brawler away with his gun.

Brock was all focused on the side trying to get them to go away by shooting his powerful rockets with a rocket launcher. But he didn't notice a brawler approaching him from behind. Luckily, Nani controlled Peep and made him get into the enemy's way. He didn't hit them. But it made the brawler run away.

Eventually, the fight finally died down to the point there isn't really anybody to fight anymore.

"We did it!" Nani celebrated. Rico and Brock high five'd each other.

Nani remembered, "Oh yea! Do you two want to go to Pam's scrapyard? Pam's not home but you can meet Jessie there. Jessie doesn't believe you two and 8-BIT did anything wrong too."

"Of course!" Rico and Brock gushed.

"They got what they deserved!"
"We got a little someone, too."
