After Steve walks Victoria to her room, she waited a few minutes before going to Bucky's, finding him awake in his bed. "Doll," he shook his head, "sorry. What are you doing here?"

Victoria shook her head, "I don't really know. I didn't realize how much I missed sleeping with you. Can I?"

"Yeah. Of course." Bucky pulled the blanket down so she could lay with him, her head finding her spot on his chest.

"I'm sorry I got mad about you calling me doll. You used to call me that. That's all." She ran her fingers along his chest, mindlessly playing with the hair that softly peppered it.

"I know. It's okay. I'm sorry I don't remember."

She felt the sadness from him, the empty feeling. "I'm sorry too James." She brought her hand to his cheek, making him look at her. She made him calm as she continued to look into his eyes that she had missed. She looked back down, her head on his chest, "I love you." She heard his heart beat faster at her words. She knew that he remembered how he felt, even if he didn't remember why.

Victoria wakes up early the next morning still thinking about the kiss between her and Steve. She brushed her fingers softly across her lips where his had been just a few hours earlier. She gets up and showers quickly before heading down to the kitchen. The sun is just barely up, but she finds Steve in the kitchen alone.

He looks up at her and smiles as she walks in. "Hi."

"Good morning Steve." Seeing him smile that way at her made her heart jump.

He stood up and placed a cup in the sink, brushing past her. He turned back to her, just looking at her for a moment. He watched her lick her lips, her chest rise and fall as her breath quickened. He leaned towards her, bringing his lips close to hers again. She ran her fingers through his hair, pulling him to her. He grabbed her waist, closing the distance between them not being able to hold back any longer. His lips were drawn to hers like a magnet.

She tasted the coffee he just drank on his tongue as it surveyed her mouth. He broke away as they heard someone coming down the hall. She stood at the sink pretending to clean the dishes as Steve sat at the table just in time for Sam and Bucky to enter the kitchen.

Victoria smiled at them, "good morning guys. Want me to make something?"

Steve stands up, "actually you should be training with Wanda today. See if you can project your powers out to people without touching them. Like you did with Buck. And they have a mission." He turns to Sam and Bucky before turning back at her, "come on Victoria, let's go find Wanda."

"Sure" she places the stuff in the sink and dries her hands. As she passes Bucky, she locks eyes with him, grabbing his arm, "be careful Buck." He only nodded as he watched her follow Steve down the hall. She follows Steve to her room. He opens the door and shoos her inside, closing the door behind them. "Well Wanda isn't in here Steve." She laughs as he turns to face her.

"No. I know. I just wanted to kiss you again." He pressed his body against hers, pinning her against her door.

"Oh. Captain Rogers." She placed her arms around his neck as he leaned down.

He makes what she could only describe as a soft growl. "I like hearing you call me that." Before she could respond his lips were pressed firmly against hers. Their tongues danced together, alternating mouths. The kiss was passionate, full of wanting.

They're both startled by a knock on the door. He groans, resting his head on hers. He whispers softly, "why can't we get some privacy around here."

She laughs, "who is it?"

"It's Tony. I wanted to talk. Can I come in?"

She motions for Steve to sit at her desk, trying to make it look natural that he was in her room so early in the morning. She opened the door to let her brother enter.

Tony looked from her to Steve and then back at her. "What is Rogers doing here?"

"Oh, we were just talking."

Steve stood up, "I can go."

Tony just shakes his head, "no, it's fine." He sat in her chair, "I was just wondering how you were doing. And you don't have to stay here if you don't want to. You can come live with me and Pepper." Steve sat back at the desk and smiled at Victoria.

"I like it here Tony. And I'm training with Steve and Wanda."

"Okay, fair enough." She sensed him hesitate before continuing. "I guess I was wondering if you were ready to talk about anything yet."

She looked at Steve nervously. "I guess so, but why don't we have a group meeting? That way anyone that has questions can ask, and I don't have to repeat myself."

Tony stood up, "That sounds good. I'll meet you downstairs in the conference room." He nodded at Steve, "Rogers." And he was gone.

She shuts the door as Steve's hands are on her again making her laugh. "Steve, we have to go."

He pulls her in for another kiss, his tongue aggressively invading her mouth, making her moan. He pulls away and looks at her for a moment before turning towards the door. "You really do have training with Wanda today, don't forget." He opens the door and winks, "Stark."

He starts to walk away as he hears her say "Captain Rogers." He stops in his tracks for a moment, not turning around. He just groans and continues down the hall.

***************************

Victoria sits alone in the conference room waiting for everyone. Steve enters first and sits next to her, his presence was calming for her. He offers her his hand for her to show him how she was feeling. She grabbed his hand and he immediately felt the anxiousness wash over him. He felt scared and nervous. It made his heart race, and not in the way it did when they kissed. She quickly let go as people started to pile in. He watched her as she closed her eyes and he felt instantly calm. She rubbed his leg with hers, making him relive their kiss earlier. She opened her eyes and looked at him as she pulled her leg away from him. She watched him bite his lip and blush at the thought of kissing her. She leaned towards him, "I'm sorry."

He leaned his mouth close to her ear so only she could hear, "don't be. I liked it."

Their attention is brought back to the meeting as Tony clears his throat. She looks up and notices most of the table had been watching her and Steve. She started to blush as she saw a smirk on Wanda's face.

Victoria puts her hand up, "so we're here because I guess some of you have questions. I can try to answer them. And this way I don't have to repeat anything."

Tony speaks up first, "what is between you and Barnes?"

She looks from Steve to Bucky. She knew everyone wanted to know but she couldn't tell them everything. She locked eyes with Bucky, "The night our parents died, I was in the car. He took me to Hydra. He would later train me. That's it."

She drops her eyes to the ground when she hears his voice. "That's not it. We both know that isn't everything."

She looks back at him, leaning on the table, "why did you call me doll the other day?" Bucky doesn't say anything, he just shakes his head. She looks around the room, "do you call everyone doll? Is there anyone in here that's been called doll by Bucky?" She looks from Natasha to Wanda, then both shaking their heads.

"I don't know why I called you that. It just came out."

"Right." She leans back in her chair as she feels Steve touch her arm, calming her. "Well then that's it. He trained me. Nothing else." She looks around the room, "what else?"

It's Wanda this time, "what exactly can you do?"

"Well," she points to Bucky, "besides being a trained fighter and marksman, I can read minds. Sort of. I can look back at past memories. Years," she looks at Steve for a second, smiling, "or a few hours ago. But I can't create memories. And I can't read your thought in the present moment. But I can read your emotion and I can even manipulate it." She closes her eyes for a second, taking some deep breaths. She chooses a feeling and tries to push it to everyone in the room. She opened her eyes as everyone in the room started laughing uncontrollably for no reason. She laughs before sending out a calming wave to everyone.

"What happened to you there?" It was Steve this time as he leaned towards her, his eyes full of concern.

She stands up, "well, without going into too much detail, I was meant to be broken. When they weren't shooting me with some experimental drug, they were training me. Breaking me. Draining me. After I was there for a while I ended making an ally that tried to protect me from the guards whenever he could." She looked at Bucky, him hanging on every word.

He just knew she was talking about him. He could feel it.

She looks away from him, wiping a tear from her cheek. She looked at Steve and wished she could read his mind right then.

"So you can project it on other people? What's the range?" Loki stands up at the back of the room.

"I'm still figuring that out." She stares at him until everyone sees the tears falling from his eyes. She lets go and falls back into the chair.

"Are you okay?" Steve touches her arm and she feels the same jealousy she felt from him before.

She pulls her arm from him because she couldn't control her power anymore. "I'm fine." She rubs her leg against his, hoping he didn't take the fact she pulled away from him personal as Loki continued.
"So it doesn't have to be skin contact? How do the memories work?"

"Doesn't have to be skin. Skin does make it easier though. And I said, I can bring up your own memories. But I can also project my own memories and feelings onto someone."

She looked at Bucky, locking eyes with him again. "Close your eyes Buck." He does as she asked as she did the same. She brought up a memory of her own. She laid in her bed in her cell as the nightly guard came into her room. She had become numb at that point, a different guard helping themselves to her every night. She said no, she pushed them away. This time before the guard could do anything he came into her cell; The Winter Soldier, Bucky. He grabbed the guard and threw him out of the cell and shut the door. She was scared at first, thinking that he wanted what they wanted. But he didn't. He sat against the cell door all night. Her silent protector. Her personal guard. He sat there every night, eventually she allowed him in bed with her and he held her until morning.

Victoria breaks contact and opens her eyes. She sees everyone looking at her as she watched Bucky. He was crying as he opened his eyes. "Why don't I remember that?"

"I don't know." She started to feel angry as her own tears fell too, "you abandoned me James! You just left me there for them to do what they wanted. You never came back for me." Her voice softened as she watched him, blocking everyone else out, "you promised you'd come back for me."

Bucky leaned forward, "doll. I'm so sorry. I don't remember."

Victoria shook her head, starting to feel weak. It took a lot out of her by touch, let alone by projecting across the room. She turned to Steve, "I think I need to lie down."

He nods and stands up, helping her up. She turns to everyone, "sorry. I'm done for now." Steve walked her back to her room, covering her up with a blanket in her bed. He turned to leave but she grabbed his hand. "Stay. Please." She moves so he can lay on the bed next to her. He holds out his arm as she nuzzles under his arm, laying her head on his chest. She didn't need her powers, his presence was calming enough. She was asleep quickly.
