Victoria wakes up alone in her bed around dinner time. She sits up as Steve comes back into her room.

"Hey. I thought you might be hungry. You haven't eaten today." He hands her a bowl of pasta and sits next to her on the bed.

"Thank you Steve." They sit in silence as she eats. He places his hand on her leg and she sees him watching her while she slept. She felt how he felt in that moment, so much she felt like her heart would burst. She leaned over and grabbed his face, pulling his lips to hers.

Steve lets go of her leg, "I like this. I don't have to say anything."

"I've never had someone do that before. Put their memory in my head on their own. How did you do that?"

Steve shrugs, "I don't know. I just thought of the memory and touched you. Is that okay?"

"Of course it is." She leans over and sets the plate on the side table, straddling him. "Is this okay Captain Rogers?"

He moans, running his fingers through her hair. "Very okay." His hands found her bottom as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her lips were soft and pillowy against his. Her fingers carded through his hair as they breathed each other in. They both groaned as they heard a knock on the door.

She stood up and answered the door to find Wanda, "right. Training. I'll be right down, okay?"

Wanda laughed at her, "sure, if you can pull yourself away from Steve long enough."

Victoria blushed, "that's not..."

Wanda leaned into the room and waved at Steve, "don't worry, I won't say anything." She winks and leaves the room. Victoria turned back to Steve who was laughing on her bed.

She changes into work out clothes as he watched her. She smirked at him, "you can show me that from your perspective later."

He stands up and closes the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her waist. He pushed what he was feeling on her as she felt the fire burning deep inside both of them. He wanted her as much as she wanted him. The combination of them both projecting their feelings at the same time made the embrace far more intense than either of them could handle as she pulled away, out of breath. "I have to go."

"I'll come with you. I want to watch. Is that okay?"

"Of course. Just keep your lips and your feelings to yourself." She bit her lip as he nodded in agreement.

Steve sits off to the side as Victoria meets Wanda in the training room.

"So you were able to block me before when I tried to read your mind. How did you do that?"

"I'm not really sure." She looks at Steve and back at Wanda, "but I'm learning more and more stuff I didn't know I could do."

She stands there as Wanda tries to invade her mind again, but she blocks it, this time without inflicting pain on Wanda.

"Maybe you could try creating a fake memory to project?"

Victoria looks at Steve. "Okay. Steve? Come here."

Steve stands in front of her, "sure, but why me?"

"Because you'll know if it's fake or not." She places her hand in his, "ready?"

He nods and closes his eyes. She takes him back to the day in the locker room, them both standing in their towels. She changes it, this time they don't get interrupted. She grabs both of their towels, making them fall at the same time. She puts her arms around his neck as he lifts her by the thighs.

Steve clears his throat and lets go of her hand, blushing. "How did I do Steve?"

He looks from Wanda back to Victoria, "um, good. I'm gonna go."

She watches as he leaves the training room, Wanda laughing as he does. She looks at Wanda, "I think I embarrassed him."

Wanda motions for Victoria to sit next to her. "Can I ask you why you don't show Bucky your memories of him."

"I don't know. Seems pointless. He doesn't remember me so why bother?"

"And Steve? What's going on there?"

"I don't really know. I like being around him." She nudges Wanda, "and his lips aren't so bad either."

Wanda laughs.

"But I saw a girl in his head, when I first met him. When he saved me. He loved her, he still does. I don't know if I can compete with that."

"Oh. You mean Peggy? You should talk to Steve about that."

Victoria stands up, "I know. I will. I just don't know what to say. And I know if I do, he'll ask about Bucky. And I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about that." She leaves the training room and heads to her own room. She sees Steve's door open to his room and she leans on the doorframe. She watches as he reads a book on his bed. She knocks softly on the doorframe, making him look up. He doesn't say anything, just pats the bed next to him. She shuts the door and lays down next to him, resting her head on his chest as he goes back to reading his book. Just as she closes her eyes, there is a knock on the door as Natasha enters his room.

She smirks at the sight of them together, "there is a mission Captain."

Victoria watches as he puts the book down on the side table and stands up. "I'll be right there." Natasha nods and leaves the room, closing the door behind her. He turns back to Victoria who was now standing beside him. He sees the concern in her eyes and grabs her hand, "I'll be okay." He leans down and kisses her. "Maybe when I get back we can make that fake memory into a real one."

She bites her lip at the thought. "I'd like that." She starts to leave the room but notices his iPod on his desk. She picks it up and turns back to him, "can I borrow this?"

"Sure, whatever you want." He felt his heart warm, the butterflies in his stomach. He turned back to see Victoria standing in the doorway with her looking at him. He knew she was trying to convey how she was feeling, and it was easier with her powers than it would be with her words.

"Me too Victoria." He grabbed her by the waist, pulling her to him. "I feel the same way."

"We can talk about it when you get back Steve. Be careful, okay?" She grazed his his cheek with her hand, accidentally transferring her worry to him.

He grabbed her hand from his face, "I'll be okay. I'll be back as soon as I can."

*************************

Victoria is asleep in her bed listening to Steve's iPod when she feels someone shaking her awake. She sits up and sees Wanda standing over her. "Wanda? What's the matter? Is Steve okay?"

Wanda shook her head, "Steve is fine. Bucky and Sam are back, can you help?"

"Okay?" She didn't know exactly what she could do to help, but she followed Wanda down to the lab where she found Bucky on a table writhing in pain. He had been shot in the shoulder and the chest and the stomach.

"Can you calm him down?" Bruce and Dr. Cho were trying to help him, but he wouldn't stop moving.

"I can try." Victoria stood at Bucky's head and placed her hand on either side. She leaned down to him, "shhh." She sent a calming wave over him as he laid still. She brought up her memories of him, of them. The first time he kissed her on a rooftop during a mission together. She watched as tears fell silently down his face as she continued. Every time she had been able to break through The Winter Soldier to Bucky, they wiped him. Again and again. She pulled his own memories of being forced into the chair, the machine lowered onto his head as they wiped him. She started to cry as she changed it back to happy memories she had with him. Them tangled in sheets after a night together. Him holding her at night in her cell, her silent protector. She remembered the last night she saw him;

He held her in her cell like he did every night. "I promise I'm going to get you out of here, okay?" Bucky kissed her on the head, pulling her closer to him, "I love you Vick."

Victoria let go of his head, stepping back. Wanda grabs onto her, "are you okay?"

She wiped away her tears and nodded. "Yeah. I'm sorry. I think I did it though. I sent him my memories. I need to lie down. Let me know when he wakes up."
