He couldn't look at him.

Breakfast had never been so awkward.

Sirius acted like nothing had happened the night before; it hurt Remus a lot more than he wanted to admit.

No way in Slytherin, did he have feelings for his friend!

First; Sirius was a guy.

Two; they were best friends.

Three; He wasn't gay!
Or...or was he? He shook his head. No way...he didn't mind looking at some of the girls but the more he thought the less he enjoyed.

"Dammit..." he mumbled.

"What's wrong Moony?" Peter asked.

Remus looked at him, "Nothing...don't worry. I'm just anxious. Tomorrow night..."

James snorted, "At least your moon ain't on valentine's day!"

"Shut it Prongs!" Remus snapped.

"Make me Gillyweed!" James laughed.

Remus sighed and stood up, he fixed his robes and sighed, "I'm going to class. I'll see you lot later."

Sirius watched him leave before he grabbed a piece of toast and ran after him.

"Oi, Moony! Wait up dog!" Sirius laughed.

Lupin groaned, he turned around, "I'm sorry-"

"Don't be. It was fine, it didn't hurt and I wasn't scared. Like I said, I trust being around you. I know you wouldn't hurt me," Sirius grinned and handed him the piece of toast.

"T-Thanks...I guess," Remus muttered.

He took the toast and looked at him.

"Do...do you like me by any chance?" he asked.

Sirius snorted, "Fuck nah! Not romantically. Dude, we're friends it's fine!" he punched his shoulder and leaned against him.

"Like I said, it happened and I'm not regretting it. So don't beat yourself up over it," Sirius shrugged.

"Are you sure though?"
"Yes! So stop being dumb, Moony!" Sirius laughed.

Remus nodded and shrugged him off, "Sure...I'll see you later in DADA."

Before he let Sirius reply, he hurried off down the corridor.

He ran his fingers through his hair; he was so embarrassed!

"Bloody du-" he started when he collided into someone.

Remus yelped as he hit the stone ground, his elbow smacking it roughly.

"Watch- Professor!" Remus gasped.

He jumped up and nodded at her.

"Mr Lupin...what are you doing? Breakfast is the other way," Mcgonagall asked.

Remus stuttered before he could answer.

"I wasn't very hungry...I was just going to head to class early," he muttered.

She smiled and patted his head, "Don't forget to eat. Mr Black was nice enough to give you some toast after all."

Remus looked away, he felt his cheeks heat up, "Y-Yeah I will. Thank you Professor." He hurried of to the DADA room.

The dorm was quiet.

Silent.

Cold.

He liked it that way.
