Remus stared at the canopy.

It was their last day at Hogwarts. He blinked.

Seven years ago, he laid down in a dorm of unfamiliar territory and now, he was laying in his home.

He sat up and wiped his eyes.

"Don't cry, we might be teachers here together one day!" Sirius grinned sitting next to him. He kissed his head and cupped his cheek.

"I...sure," Remus blushed a little and held his boyfriends hand.

Two years together and now, it was all going to change.

James walked in and grabbed his bag, "You two coming? Or one last snog and quickie to leave off for memory?"

Remus looked away blushing, Sirius laughing as he nodded.

"Yes that sounds mighty good, Mr Potter! Let's snog for memories!"

James nodded and left, Sirius smiling.

"What do you think?" Sirius asked.

Remus nodded shyly and kissing him softly until Sirius heated the kiss up.

Sirius chuckled and pushed him down, the two making sweet slow love until James came up to split them up so they wouldn't be late for the train.

Remus looked up at his apartment in London and sighed, Sirius giggled and squeezed his hand.

The two set furniture out together, Sirius making it a big joke as Remus tried to be serious.

Finally, after months, their new home was set out.

"Harry's going to be born soon! I'm so excited!" Sirius grinned in bed one night.

Remus was playing with his hair as he read, "I know you are. You're his godfather, why wouldn't you be excited?"

Sirius frowned, "Are you jealous-"

"No. I don't really want kids. I don't want to get married. I'm very content this way," Remus stated with a smile.

He smiled back and nuzzled into his chest, his messy black hair tickling Remus' nose slightly.

A month after Lily and James had gone into hiding, Remus was sitting at the kitchen table looking at the clock.

A coffee cup in his hand as he stared, waiting for Sirius to come home.

He waited.

And waited.

And...waited.

He only moved, when an owl appeared in his window.

Remus stood and took the letter, choking back tears as he read it. He scrunched it in his hands and hiccoughed into it, sobbing for hours.

The funeral was too much for Remus, leaving when the time was right.

His two best friends...and his lover.

Gone.

He'd never hear James voice again.

Never hear Peter's voice and whining.

But worst of all...

He would never see Sirius again without looking at him with shame.

After that Remus moved, hiding out being lonely once again.

The sky was cloudy as Remus looked out of his window.

"Lonely..." he chuckled sadly playing with his shirt.

Remus looked at the letter in his hand and smiled, his face aged, his clothes patched and shabby.

"Thank you Albus..." he whispered looking at his ticket and hurrying to Platform 9 ¾.

The train ride brought back memories.

He looked out the window.

It had been far over twenty years since he had sat in this seat.

His first train ride to Hogwarts was silent.

Like this one and before he knew it, he fell asleep.

"HARRY!" Hermione screamed, Remus' eyes opening wide as he jumped up.

He casted his patronus and looked at Harry.

His eyes glued to the young boy. His heart grinned, seeing James.

The train ride to Hogwarts, was louder and happier.

He couldn't stop smiling.

When he was announced as DADA teacher he frowned.

"We'll both be teaching here one day," he whispered staring at his desk.
