Lover's Longing

I'm back with another story that's only like two paragraphs cause I have no sleep and I just wanted to get some simple things out of my system.

The song I chose was important to me not too long ago because it made not seeing someone I love very often a little easier. I could look forward to the next time we'd meet and I knew it would be worth it because they were worth it. Anyways, let's get away from that and on to the story.

I never saw him often. But when I did, it was as if the world around me was at peace if only for a short while. His smile was as warm as the summer sun. His gaze, as safe as a soft light in an ocean of darkness. Oh how he made me laugh filling me with light. Intense feelings of trust and love so indescribable and certain I thought it could last forever. All of my worries and doubts would melt away with one glance and I felt free. I treasured him like gold. Any chance to see him so precious and dear.

I admired her from afar. Always graceful, kind, beautiful. Her dark eyes shimmered when she laughed as though stars lived within them. She was soft and open. I felt so calm, like on sweet summer nights when faint slivers of light shine through my open curtains and a cool breeze drifts in. She always smelled of rain. After some time I realized I loved her. She was so close, yet always so far.

We were so different, so far. Only catching glimpses of each other. But every moment was worth the world.
