It had been a few days since Maddy and Dean met. Dean was still a demon, and he wasn't about to change that either. He was sitting at the bar again and was drinking his beer when a voice rang out behind him: "Dean, we need to talk."
Dean rolled his eyes: "Crowley, what do you want?"
Crowley sat down next to him on the free bar stool: "I want to talk to you about Maddy. What was that supposed to mean?"
Dean snorted: "What do you mean?"
Crowley rolled his eyes: "Well, what you did to her. Dean, that wasn't right. I know you, and I are demons, and we don't care about feelings, but I like the little one, and I felt sorry for her. She didn't deserve what you did. She loves you, Dean."
Dean laughed mockingly and took a sip of his beer before he replied: "I don't care. I don't care about Maddy and her feelings. And if you'll excuse me now, the waitress is about to close, and Daddy is under a little pressure ."
He turned around and was about to leave when Crowley got up and stood in his way: "Dean, wait. You need her."
Dean got angry: "I don't need anyone. Neither you nor Maddy nor anyone else. My life is great the way it is. Now get out of my way."
Crowley wanted to reply something but then stepped aside, and when Dean had disappeared from the bar, he stayed back with a sigh.✨
Maddy had spent the past few days clearing her mind and now, she felt shut-in. She had worked a lot and met her friend Stacy. With her, she had a good cry. Like every Saturday, they met at Kim's restaurant. Now a few days had passed, and a long weekend was just around the corner.
She had to get out, that much was certain. So she decided to call Bucky. "Hey princess," he greeted her when he picked up the phone.
"Hey, Bucky. Have you and Sam done your job?"
"Yep, everything is done. Now we have a bit of vacation."
Maddy got nervous, cleared her throat, and asked: "Do you think I could join you on the weekend? I need to get out," her voice fell before she continued, "after everything that happened."
She could hear Bucky smiling, "Of course. I can't wait to finally see you again."
"Great, thanks Bucky. See you in two days. See you then."
"See you then, honey."
They hung up, and Maddy decided to call Dean's brother. She hadn't heard from him since the incident. She thought of Dean every day, she missed him so much.
"Hey Maddy," came the other end when Sam answered the phone.
"Hey, Sammy. Is everything OK? Is there anything new from Dean?" she wanted to know.
Sam sighed: "Not really. Dean turns pretty crazy as a demon. But I think I'm already on the right track to help him."
"Please keep me informed, Sam, okay?"
"I will. How are you, after all, that?" he wanted to know.
Maddy paused for a moment before answering: "Well, yes. Not so special. It was all a bit too much for me. I hope we can get Dean back. I missed my chance with him, but he still has to become himself again. I need a little distraction, so I decided to visit Bucky. He's on vacation with his buddy. I just need this now."
"I see. Ok, please take care, and as soon as there is something new, I'll get in touch with you."
"Okay, thank you, Sam," Maddy replied.
They said goodbye to each other and hung up.
Maddy went to her window and looked out. "Oh Dean," she whispered, and her eyes filled with tears again.
