"Holly, I understand." Holly Jackson sits in front of Chief Strauss, her resignation's request leading the conversation, and resignation letter on the desk between them. "I hope you find your way. Just remember there will always be a spot open for you, in the FBI and the BSU, whenever you like to return."

Holly smiles at the blonde woman in front of her thankfully, a hand careful placed on the small, barely visible, bump of her stomach. "Thank you, Erin. Really."

Both women stand up, Strauss walks around her desk, holding out a hand for Holly to shake. The blonde woman, takes the outstretched hand with a small smile. Strauss squeezes her hand, putting both her hands around Holly's hand, holding it tightly. "And congratulation, Holly. I know you'll be a great mother, but I will miss you, as will Dave, and Gideon."

Holly nods, her smile turning a bit sad. "I will too."

"Do they know, yet?" Erin looks at her curious. Holly looks down at her hand, still in between Strauss', slowly shaking her head, after a sigh. "I haven't had the heart to tell them yet. But I will, soon."

Erin smiles at her sadly, letting go of Holly's hand. "You should. At best, right after this."

"I will, I promise. I'm just scared of their reactions." Holly admits sadly, the thoughts of her friends reaction, to her leaving the BSU, and FBI. Betrayal, sadness, protest, those are the main reactions she expects.

In her head, plays a film of David Rossi's shocked face, making it harder for her to even try to think about her leaving, near the man.

Holly is sure that Gideon will take it much calmer, understanding. He has a son himself, he knows how hard it is to be away from him, he knows the risks in case something happens to him. Or worse, when the unsub targets his own family. Holly doesn't want to take that risk. She doesn't want to leave her child, motherless, or with a target on their head. She isn't as scared for Gideon's reaction, as she is for Dave's.

Dave is a complete different subject for her, the two are close, very close. For other people it may seem too close for them to be just friends, but it wasn't in the way many may think. At least not officially, in each of their heads, they were more than friends, at least they wanted to, but neither of them spoke those thoughts out loud.

Holly is happy with Dylan, and that is all that matters to the both of them.

Holly can just imagine Dave trying to get her to stay. That he'll beg, and promise that he'll help her keep her and her child save. But Holly knows, that from the people that are out there, not him, nor anyone, can keep her save or her child, when something might happen.
